Known for it's wonderful vineyards, surrounded by incredible mountain ranges, Last Word is the perfect place to rest your head after a day on the Franschhoek Valley Wine tram. There are 8 Superior Rooms and 2 Pool Suites across two floors. All with WiFi, safe, flat screen TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning and complimentary minibar and snacks. Superior Rooms feature a queen-size bed, separate lounge area and large bathroom with both a bath and a shower. Ground level Superior Rooms also boast their own private patio area with seating.
Pool Suites feature the same amenities as the Superior Rooms but also include their own semi-private swimming pool and patio area. Pool Suites are also larger in size than the Superior Rooms.

Rates include breakfast and all beverages and premium spirits. Small outdoor swimming pool. Fitness centre. Resident bar (self-service bar). Complimentary concierge service. Free secure parking.

Please note: children aged 5 years and below are not permitted to stay at this hotel.

It is a real bonus to be able to walk to the restaurants, shops and galleries. The rooms are immaculate and the attention to detail is exceptional. We had a suite with a private pool and patio but also had use of all the other facilities like bar, lounges, roof terrace and larger pool. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone wishing to unwind and be pampered in a magnificent setting. Read less

Very personal service, nothing too much trouble and helpful staff. Room was very comfortable and we have run of the house at the bar which was nice to come back to after a day out. Small pool that got into the shade by lunch but a separate sun deck above meant you could relax here all day in the sun if you wished. Great location as you walk out onto the high street behind electric gates and c5m walk to the wine tram terminal or heading the other way to the main shopping area. Would recommend and we will return! Read less

Even though we only stayed here, I can safely say The Last Word is the best place to stay in Franschhoek. Though its in the middle of downtown, it's tucked quietly away off the main street to ensure privacy and peace. It seems like it was newly decorated, by someone very talented because it had a luxury homey feel that was absolutely perfect. The staff, breakfast, pool and room was just perfect, you get a lot more than what you pay for. Franklin was very accommodating and so nice, it truly feels like a family and we will be back! Amazing hotel, all details perfect, super clean and nicely decorated ! Large rooms, some with private pool . Even drinks included ! We had a fantastic stay. Lovely staff ! Highly commendable. Very central in town and own parking space available . Will come back definitely.

We checked out of the Last Word today after a three night stay. The hotel is simply wonderful. We booked a room with a private pool and we were not disappointed! It was the most relaxing and enjoyable stay we could have wished for. Everything about the hotel is so genuinely warm, inviting and special. The staff were so friendly and helpful and honestly made the visit the highlight of our three week trip to SA. The location is perfect, rooms really well appointed and the well stocked honesty bar was the icing on the cake! Breakfast was delicious each morning. Franschhock is jam filled with great hotels but the Last Word is the jewel in the crown. Thanks to Conrad, Franklin and all the staff for an amazing stay and great memories :) Read less
