The lanzerac relies on its wine farm history and location to sell its accommodation and restaurant. Rooms are not well maintained but the biggest problem they have is too many staff who don't have a clue what they are doing and the food is appalling. We had out of date moldy room service items and breakfast is a nightmare as all the food is open and covered in flies. Could not believe this at a five star establishment. We stay 10 nights and two were completely ruined by weddings so close to the hotel the noise was a nightmare. The Spa is dirty and gym is even worse and so old. It is at the top end of prices in the cape and mot at all worth it. The flash website. The history of the wine farm is the selling point. Go somewhere else and save your money and have a better experience
