Fairmont Palliser first opened its doors to guests in 1914 as one of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Hotels. Today it’s one of Calgary’s landmark buildings, offering a superb range of amenities and luxury accommodation in the heart of downtown. Dining at the Rimrock is essential whilst here, an incredible Tudor-style restaurant with barrelled ceilings and massive stone fireplace. Don’t miss out on the hotel’s award-winning Sunday Brunch, served in the grand lobby and accompanied by live piano music – book early to avoid disappointment. For drinks and entertainment, there’s the Oak Room, a cosmopolitan meeting space, serving tapas and cocktails along with some very cool jazz. If you want to pamper yourself, RnR Wellness Spa offers the latest beauty treatments whilst the Boulevard Club features a eucalyptus steam room, 12-person spa and an indoor heated swimming pool.

The quality of your staff are the best. They cared for every need. They upgraded our food. We're happy to get us our meal to go. A member of you staff helped me to my care when I needed something. He took me to the elevator leading to the tower thank you and merry Christmas
A great weekend away for a birthday and our engagement.

Fairmont went above and beyond to offer us amazing hospitality during our special occasion! No other hotel treats their guests better.
We enjoyed the fairmont gold experience with a beautiful room and access to delicious food and beverages.
Complimentary beverages at the Hawthorn were some of the best cocktails we have ever had, delicious 😋
Great stay! Love the staff and ambience.

Staff is top notch here. They take care of you. Hotel was decorated nicely and the restaurant pub is very relaxing with music they play. Food was delicious. Staff was very accommodating with late checkout. Also helpful with local shopping ideas. We got a cheese tray when we arrived which was a nice touch.
Luxury, grand experience with exquisite staff

Beautiful and historic hotel with all the finer details. Very comfotable bed and spacious room. What really takes it over the top is the friendly staff and amazing, top notch service (Thanks Neal and Paul). Come here and you won't be dissapointed!
Loud hotel, poor customer service

We arrived at the Palliser late at night from Ontario. Upon arrival we were told we received an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. This was not really an upgrade as we are a family of 4 and it meant our children had to share a small pull out couch. This pull out couch had no bedding. We called and requested bedding and 30 minutes later it had still not arrived (now 11:30 pm). We had to make a second request.
Following the bedding issue, our room looked out over the train tracks and none of us slept well, with trains running every hour all night long. We requested in the AM to move to another room and they apologized, offered a different room (with an extra cot for our children) and ice cream for our children. We agreed, and hours later had still not heard from the front desk about our new room being ready. They had forgot to contact us.
Moved to our new room at 4:30, to find out they cannot give us a cot because of fire code. Both my children ended up sleeping on the floor that night as the pull out couch was incredibly uncomfortable. For the cost, you would think they would be high quality mattresses in a pull out couch, not just springs and fabric.
At 9:00 PM they finally called up and offered our ice cream (children were asleep).
At 5:45 am the room phone rang from the front desk saying a colleague was looking for us. This not only incorrect, but inexcusable to be calling that early.
After speaking to a manager the hotel was very apologetic (again) for the disturbances and offered to wave the charges on our room and to send a care package and ice cream to their sister hotel (the Banff Springs) that we were headed to that day.
The care package and ice cream never arrived. The Springs had nothing on file about this offer.
We would never stay at the Palliser again. Never have we experienced such issues at a hotel or resort in all our travels.
