The hotel

In mid Montreal’s entertainment quarter, this elegant hotel is filled with treats to distract you from its enticing urban surroundings. Dip in its indoor pool – a glorious sunken space flooded with light from the glazed ceiling and steps from an al fresco ‘terrace with a view’. There’s a second terrace at Bivouac, serving up views over Quartier des Spectacles. Of course, it’s the location you came for – and Doubletree by Hilton Montreal delivers it. Connected to Complexe Desjardins, it gives almost instant access to more than 100 shops and eateries, and to a subway station for city sightseeing. You can even head out for a run along Mount Royal or Canal Lachine.

Quality hotel and location. Concierge services were excellent. Associated restaurant (Bivouac) was top rated.

I'm a Hilton kind of gal. I've stayed at a fair few hotels in the Hilton family. This hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are lovely. The location can't be beat. But, if you're looking for typical Hilton helpfulness and friendliness from the staff, keep looking. I keep staying here because my favorite coffee place in the world is around the corner. I could stay at any other Hilton family hotel--or any other hotel, for that matter---and likely get far better service. In fact, that HAS happened. There are some friendly and super-helpful staff members, but they are unicorns. For the most part, the staff are more focused on their computers and colleagues. When they do help you, you feel like you're in an appointment window, and you'd best hurry up so they can get back to what they really need to do--confer with colleagues or fiddle with the computer. For the most part, they are NOT enthusiastic about your visit, nor about providing good guidance. Again, there are a few standouts. But, they are currently short-staffed. I know Hilton moves people around, periodically. And they can't seem to get replacement staff here. Maybe because their reputation precedes them? Read less

Everything about the Doubletree Montréal is amazing! We absolutely loved the location and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming! From the front desk, to the Executive Lounge, the restaurant and ladies who took care of our room… everyone was so nice and helpful. Thanks for making our first, but not last, trip to Montréal a perfect getaway.

In Montreal for business. Great location and service. WiFi was not excellent as I think the system was overloaded with the gamers in the hotel. Will be back!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Doubletree. The conceirge provided us a map of the city and the best rate for booking a day trip tour of Québec City. The breakfast buffet and service was literally the best I've EVER had at any Hilton hotel line (great food selection, served coffee/tea without asking, and staff was very friendly). It was definitely worth it. The only reasons this hotel did not receive a perfect five star was due to the loud construction outside of the hotel. It didn't bother our sleep because we were so high up (15th floor) but it was hard to navigate in and out of the hotel when using Uber. Also, the room was not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. We had to ask twice for them to remove the shoes from the previous tenant and to vacuum the floor from the specks of dirt possibly from the previous tenant. They did make it right and cleaned up the room that same day. Will definitely stay here again if the construction is finally finished. Read less
