I booked the DoubleTree for our last night on our east coast road trip. We arrived a bit after dark on a Saturday in October. Parking was fine as there were many open spots. Check in was quick and easy. We got our cookies and out tickets to pick up water at the Starbucks. The service was excellent.
I had to run out and put the parking slip in the car and then we headed up to the top floor to our corner room, facing American Falls. You could also see Horseshoe, with a little bit obscured. It was a great view though. The falls were all lit up, as was Clifton Hills.
The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. The shower and bathroom were nice as well. It was an excellent room. Sadly, it was only for one evening as we had to drive home the next day.
The location was very good. It is slightly out of the very busy areas, but an easy walk to Clifton and the Fallsview Casino. The walk we did in the evening to see the lit up falls wasn't terrible. there is a hill you have to walk back up on the way back, but all of the other hotels are up the hill really, so you would have to do that anyway. We cut across a parking lot to get back to the hotel at night as a shortcut. It was fine for us.
I would have no issue staying there again. Cost was about average for the location, time of year, and weekend stay. I did use some Hilton Points that brought the price down by about half.

Stayed at the DoubleTree and it was very nice!
Restaurant on site and the location is close to the Casino District. Check in was easy and the rooms were clean.
It's pricey but all of the hotels in the area are. Have stayed there twice and would do it again.
Good stay at the Double Tree at the Falls.

Brief stay at the Falls with Family, stayed at the Double Tree. Excellent location to Falls and all NF attractions. Friendly and courteous staff. Lobby, indoor pool and gym excellent. Rooms could use a little refreshing. There is a Starbucks conveniently located in the lobby!

The DoubleTree is the perfect balance of 'nice hotel' and value. If you don't mind the short walk to the Casino/OLG Stage, this is a way better option than the Fallsview hotels which are overpriced. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a $25 charge for parking which isn't popular, but compared to what the Fallsview hotels up the street charge (and gouge), the cost here is reasonable, and feels more secure than the big parking lots around the casino that those hotels use.
The staff are friendly, the rooms are nice, and everything is clean. If you don't mind a short walk to the fallsview area, and prefer to stay somewhere 'nice' and not the budget basement types of places, this is the place to stay.
