We have mixed reviews of about our experience at this hotel. I’m going to start with the positives first. It is a great location! Easy to walk to a variety of restaurants as well as a quick walk to the Falls. We had our 2 kids with us and they enjoyed exploring on their own too. We found the beds very comfortable and the rooms cozy. We visited during a busy time of year between Christmas and New Year’s so the hotel was pretty busy. We did have to wait for the elevator sometimes, but it wasn’t a major inconvenience to us because we weren’t in a rush. We were on the 17th floor and we walked down to the lobby on more than one occasion rather than wait for elevator. My husband and I visited Massimo’s restaurant and I highly recommend making a visit there. I had just finished chemotherapy treatments and we wanted to celebrate. It is pricey but the food was delicious! The view of the Falls from that floor was amazing. We enjoyed meals at other restaurants, such as Niagara distillery, Niagara brewing, and Perkins was just a short walk away for breakfast. We loved the fireworks at the falls every night!! I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and our problem with the hotel came after checkout. I am sharing our experience so that hopefully others don’t have the same thing happen to them. The morning we were to check out of the hotel, I received an email of our bill and everything looked great. We didn’t visit the front desk to check out and did the express checkout by leaving the keys in the box. We flew home the same day that we checked out. The next day I received a bill from this hotel with an additional $300+ charge on it. It was stated as an additional occupancy charge of $50 per night plus all the taxes and fees they add on. Keep in mind that this charge was not mentioned to us at all during check-in or at any point in time during our state. They claimed our booking, which was done by a travel agent, was for four adults. This was not the case. We had to send documentation to the hotel to prove that we were 2 adults and 2 children. They did end up refunding our money, but communication was very poor, even after documentation was sent. I had to email several times to confirm they received the documents and to check on status refund. It took a good 3 weeks to get my money back. In my opinion, if you were going to charge additional occupancy on the bill, this should be stated during the check-in process. Or put on bill at check out. Not sent as an add on to the bill the day after people leave and can’t deal with the issue personally. Would I stay at this hotel again? Possibly. We enjoyed our stay. However, the headache that I had trying to reverse the charges that they put on my credit card is something I don’t wanna go through again. The hotel did apologize for the inconvenience. But the charge was completely unnecessary in the first place. Read less

Room was lovely - even had a nice fireplace! Bed very comfortable, washroom large size - walk in shower, huge vanity - at least 6 feet long! Room was very clean. Small fridge and safe in closet. Location was pretty good - you could walk to the other end to Cdn Falls. Small coffee maker which uses the coffee pods - i took couple extra from home. The big “negative” with the hotel was the elevators!! Took forever and sometimes, it indicated that it was at the “lobby” level but then doors didn’t open and it continued up!! Jack the concierge was wonderful - took my bag when I arrived early and then when I checked out he tried to help me with the WEGo bus situation. Lovely man. Read less

This hotel is located right on Clifton Hill with indoor access to the Waterpark, and views of the American Falls. The hotel itself is decent, rooms are small but adequate. The primary driver for staying at this hotel should be the location, which is very convenient. However, I would not suggest you trust what they advertise when it comes to check-in times though. Our room was not ready/available until 9:30PM! Despite the check-in time being 4PM. We saw housekeeping staff still cleaning other rooms well into the evening, so this must be normal at this hotel. We just walked around the area waiting for our room to become available, which was 5 hours later. Very strange, as the staff seemed completely oblivious to the fact that this is not normal at other hotels. They were unapologetic and unconcerned. They eventually gave us free parking for the night as compensation for the ordeal, which too only came only after I expressed my thoughts. Additionally, they advertise Double Beds as Queens for some reason. Overall, we felt the management of this hotel is unethical and dishonest. There are similarly priced hotels available in the area with better standards. Read less

Nice location, awful staff and management. First, we are Marriot Gold Elie members - we stay at a lot of Marriot properties. As a family we decided that we wanted to spend Christmas Day in Niagra Falls. We have someone with a disability that requires a lower floor - we called ahead and they stated we were put on the 2nd floor. We arrived at the hotel and they put us on the 6th floor - no explanation nor any communication. Fast forward to 9:30 PM - fire alarm goes off and we all have to evacuate. Ends up being unfounded yet elevators are closed and people on higher floors can’t get to their rooms. Kids are scared and crying all over the place. They tell all people on lower floors to walk up to their rooms - yet they continue to make loud announcements over the speaker until almost 11:30 PM. We called in the morning about his awful our experience has been - they refuse to identify themselves (which is illegal) and a complaint with the BBB will be started and management refused to call us back. This is a nice hotel that is ran poorly and with horrible staff members who don’t care about Marriot Elite members. We did call corporate and they are resolving our issues. They did manage to almost ruin our Christmas. Read less

You can’t beat the location of this hotel, and it was clean. The staff was friendly, and I had plenty of amenities. However, this hotel applies the LF fee to their charges, and the desk clerk misrepresented the LFE as municipal tax,. When I pressed and questioned and asked them to remove this, she told me she was not able to I asked to speak to the supervisor who reiterated that it was a fee that I agreed to pay in my room booking. When I looked at the charges on my booking confirmation, it says conference and tourism fee it does not mention the LF fee. Not only is the staff at this hotel, passing it off as a tax in order to legitimatize this charge, but it is misrepresented on their booking confirmation. I was also told that it was hotel policy to apply this charge, but that’s also not true because we had dinner at Massimo‘s and brunch at the Fallsview buffet and both restaurants we’re happy to remove the charge upon request. They also applied the LF fee to our parking and to spa charges, and one could argue that I did not agree to those charges when I booked the room. I am disappointed in the brands reluctance to remove these superfluous charges, which anybody who knows anything about the LFE knows that is nothing more than a cash grab to put money into the pocket of the business The bottom line- do your research ahead of time. There are businesses that don’t charge this ridiculous fee. And speak up if enough people speak up maybe legitimate businesses will get rid of this ridiculous fee. Read less
