Safe was not working. Room pricing was confusing. Food was pricey given the rating of the hotel. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. Access to the beach was great and pool was very clean. However, hotel has limited facilities other than pool and the beach.

The hotel was lovely and in a great location. The pool and small private beach are well maintained. Outdoor fire pit and lounge chairs were great for morning coffee and reading and evening drinks. Food was excellent. Only ding is the lack of a concierge to answer questions and make local recommendations. Enjoyed our stay, would return.

I am very disheartened by my experience at this luxury hotel. I booked and paid in advance for two rooms, as I was traveling with a family of five people. Upon check-in in I was told they only had one room reservation. I said that's impossible I showed my receipt and was told sorry there was only one room reservation. How can a family of five sleep in one room with two beds I asked? We are sold out. Can you accommodate us with a rollaway bed? No, we don't have any. I was livid! But it gets worse. In the middle of the night when I went to the bathroom I found my sister who is 6ft 3inches tall sleeping in the bathtub. I was mortified. The next morning I went to the front desk to speak with the manager Eugeneal Jen Steed and I explained how I had booked and paid for two rooms in advance she said yes I see that one of your rooms was listed as a "no-show" when I ran the audit report. How could this happen when at check-in only one room reservation was available? She apologized she promised I would be refunded for the room. I asked if could she provide us with a complimentary ride to the airport. She said we don't keep cash at the hotel so I will adjust your room by $75.00 to cover the cost of the ride to the airport for you and your family. Today is December 20, 2024, and I have yet to be reimbursed. I have disputed with my credit card company and the company will continuously re-vert the charges back on my card. Not sure who the parent company of British Colonial is but this BAD BUSINESS! I Would not recommend this fraudulent place to anyone not even as a pet hotel. This is the email address Eugeneal.steed@britishcolonial.comshe gave me and after many emails, my quest to be refunded still goes unanswered. SHE IS A SNAKE/ and or a wolf in sheeps clothing because she was very polite and appeard as though she would help rectify this matter and it was all a FARCE! Read less
