The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is an unbelievable resort. All the staff were extremely helpful. Restaurants were fantastic, water park was a blast. Huge casino with very helpful dealers. Upgrade to the Reserve tower. Worth it. Breakfast buffet at the Regatta was outstanding. They had everything to offer.

Baha Mar is beautiful, very huge and well maintained .We were granted an upgraded room which was lovely. I would def go for oceanview. Also got 1 hour late checkout which was appreciated, Room itself is modern and clean, however we had to ask for blankets as our ac didnt seem to adjust well. Restaurants are plentiful and all offer a different vibe BUT be prepared to spend LOTS on a meal thru out property! We liked the buffet at Cleos and the Chinese restaurant was excellent. If you want low key on meals Pizza Lab is fine. disappointed at beach as there is lots of seaweed as you enter water . Also late January was too chiily for us to go into ocean especially when its cloudy. Pools are heated but air can still be cool . Reflecton pool is less crowded. liked Blue Hole pool with fish windows! Just one annoyance : Tiffany at excursions desk was curt and rude and would not answer a simple question as we did not directly book an excursion with her,Otherwise most not all staff were fine. This hotel and resort was fabulous. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds were well maintained and the staff was so nice. I would go there again in a heartbeat. The only thing to be aware of is the restaurants are really expensive. There are several pools and the beach is gorgeous.

It was not good experience for our family of eight. To start out…the hotel said the best deal would be to take the shuttle bus from the airport toBaha Mar. It was not good experience for our family of eight. To start out…the hotel said the best deal would be to take the shuttle bus from the airport toBaha Mar. We got charged $270 for a one-way 30 minute trip. We had our driver stop on the way to get waters, etc. only to find out waters were $88 for a case! When leaving a week later, we did more investigating for a cheaper shuttle bus and they said we got ripped off. They said we must not have used the hotel shuttle, but the guy portrayed to be with Baha Mar. We got charged only $90 for the trip back to the airport. Next, we checked into Baha Mar only to find out we had a resort fee every day of almost $100 dollars on top of our $400 a night room. We were not told this prior. Paying that price for room you would think they would leave an extra roll of toilet paper and pods of coffee. But no, I had to ask for that! The ice machine on our floor was broke down for two days so it was inconvenient having to go to a different floor to get ice. And no one ever told us That kids eat free at some restaurants. They charged anyway for the kids when they knew they were free. Then you go down to the cave pool, where all the kids wanted to be, to watch the grandkids swim only to find out we had to pay approximately $40 for a lounge chair if you wanted a place to sit…cabanas were $399 for the day. The lounge chairs at the big waterslide area and the beach were free, but I think that’s probably because the water was so cold at those places. The lazy river was freezing cold too. Everything had a service fee added and it ranged anywhere from 10% to 30% and then they expected you to tip on top of that. So, they didn’t have to be friendly or cordial. They were all rude except for three people. I was not the only one who said that by the way. I met a young couple from Great Britain. They were pissed over the rudeness and the resort fee. They said they would never go back. You would think if you’re paying a resort fee every day that would include all the amenities. Miniature golf was $27 a person and if you wanted to take your kids to the kids adventure place to do fun activities it was $80 per child for only three hours. The kid zone, which is like a Chuck E. Cheese, where the kids could play games… I added money to the game card and they charged a service fee on top of that and I was even at a kiosk machine. When it came to the meals, you had to have a reservation.,which we weren’t aware of until we got to the hotel. We got in due to other people canceling, but it was inconvenient because we were on the phone trying to work on that while on our vacation. And even though we had a reservation, there was usually a wait, or we couldn’t sit together or, we had to sit out in the cold. At one restaurant, the meals were all served at different times. So by the time the first one got done eating the last one hadn’t even received his food yet. One day, we took the kids to a movie at a place called Fusion, which is offsite. We were told there was a free shuttle by two different people, but the valet people didn’t seem to know anything about it, so we ended up getting a cab for $30 each way. It was only a five minutes away. By the time the week was over, we were ready to be home. We won’t be going back to the Baha Mar in Naussau, Bahama. I would suggest going for a shorter time, or picking a different time of the year where it’s not so cold, or go to an all inclusive resort where you know what you’re gonna pay for everything. Check in was a breeze. Tyeshe helped us with everything we needed!! We were hoping to merge our reservations and it was so simple and easy. The front desk was always so accommodating and helpful and generous with our stay. We can’t table them enough for taking care of us!
