Virgin rating

The hotel

Luxury in the Bahamas needn’t be off-limit to families. Built to bring all generations together, The Coral at Atlantis Paradise Island has re-opened after being re-designed and re-imagined with features, facilities, and fun for every age and stage of your crew. As well as the revamped rooms, with their balconies and tropical styling, and a sleek pool that’s more Miami than castaway island, The Coral adds decadent family touches like lollies at the swim-up bar and a gelateria in the lobby. Its setting on the island adds to the child-friendly feel, with Bahamian white sand beaches and Marina Village handily close. And you get access-all-areas to all the island’s dining venues and attractions, giving you something to thrill each member of your family — whether that’s plunging past shark-filled waters down the near-vertical Leap of Faith or splashing about in the Mayan-themed children’s water playground.

Outstanding services, superb facilities. We were there for a sports competition and took advantage and stayed for an entire week. We had a great time, the place had everything you need, pools, watermarks, beaches fitness center, restaurants but the best, its staff!

We ended up checking out and changing our flights to come home early because of the dirty environment. The workers are rude and made us feel uncomfortable. Good luck finding a towel if you try to brave to dirty pool water or dirty sand. Do yourself a favor and choose a newer resort like Bahamar

My boyfriend and I traveled to the Bahamas for a poker tournament. We were very excited because my bf won his seat and it was my first time out of the country. Here are my major disappointments: - the TV didn’t work the entire duration of our stay. Although we tried to have it fixed we just didn’t get the chance to have IT stop by. - the tub didn’t drain. We called to have it fixed and was by the time we got back to the room, but it was kind of surprising to have to call to have the tub drained. - THE MOST UPSETTING THING - good isn’t cheap by any means at this resort. We dined at many places but this was our last night and was a $400 dinner. We highly anticipated Fish by Chef Jose Andres and unfortunately we were disappointed. Last reservation was set for 9:30 which we booked despite closing at 10…(the service was rushed). Our server was lovely and gave us the best experience he could. But they served my bf raw chicken (assuming they were rushing in the kitchen) which was the cheapest dish we ordered and a manager never stopped by… we had to ask for a manager to stop by. It was needless to say disappointing. However… The people, the staff, the energy on this island and on this resort is MAGICAL… everyone went above and beyond out of their way to make sure we had a good time. We swam with dolphins and our guide TJ was a great host. David from the French restaurant (Cafe Martinique) went above and beyond. Despite the raw chicken I would travel back just for the people. They make the resort worth the stay. 💕💗 Read less

Our experience at the Coral was not the greatest. The rooms are dated to the point that some should be closed. The food was not good, and the staff did not seem overly friendly. I would like to attribute this to the time of the year because it was not busy, however a non-serviceable room and undercooked food has nothing to do with time of year. I definitely won't be staying at the Coral again. I probably won't ever come back to Atlantis. I've been here three times, and this was by far the worst. I think it's time to give Jamacia a try. Wonderful stay, easy and good, great staff, very nice and helpful and friendly . All good. And easy access to restaurants and casino. Prices a little high but to be expected. Easy access to cabs out front too. Id stay again, as long as can get a deal, money-wise. No problems
