Five minutes walking bring you to to the best places to eat on this stretch of the coast. All the buses to Bridgetown and beyond stop outside the door as do those going to Oistens.

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for 10 days in January. The location, right in the middle of The Gap and facing the beautiful beach, was great - many many restaurants and cafes within a few minutes’ walk, lively in the evening, suggest advance reservations for dinner. Despite the activity the Divi is set back from the road on its own large property and was very quiet. We always felt safe walking around. This was the first holiday we’ve taken with a full kitchen included (the resort also functions as a timeshare) and it’s certainly a great option for convenience and for saving a bit on food costs which are expensive. There is a tiny Minimart on location and several others nearby for essentials, plus two large regular grocery stores (Massy’s) a bit further away.
In addition to the location there are other positive features to the Divi: It was clean, quiet, and had a beautiful view over the well-kept grounds and pool; the front desk was always staffed with friendly and helpful attendants; it was very convenient for (inexpensive) public transportation just out the front door; as well as the main pool there was a small « ocean pool » right on the beach, which was serene and gorgeous. The air conditioning in our suite was excellent until the day it stopped working, at which point the staff immediately found another room for us.
On the negative side, the bathroom was cramped and overall space was modest, the furnishings, including bathroom and kitchen fixtures were well-worn, the balcony was tiny and unfortunately (for us) had full sun all day after about 11 am, with not enough depth for any shade; housekeeping was decent but seemed to be stretched. There’s no in-house restaurant or cafe of any sort. The resort is partnered with a restaurant across the street, PureOcean, but had terrible options for breakfast - nothing a la carte, and a ridiculously expensive buffet with limited choices and poor quality food. After the first morning, when when we were still getting oriented, we avoided it. For lunch or dinner it was reasonable.
Overall, we would probably look for something else if we return to The Gap.

The pools were lovely and the beach just over the road was so easy to get to.
The food at Pure Ocean was fabulous, especially for lunch on the beach and the New Year’s Eve dinner was perfect.
Great location for exploring the Gap and the rest of the island.
Would highly recommend!
