This is my 4th visit to Divi and it never disappoints. From the courteous service at time of booking, to check in and the service throughout was exceptional. This continues to be our choice of hotel when considering places to celebrate special occasions, or just a place to retreat and relax.

Had a wonderful trip at the Divi. No negative "surprises". Staff friendly, room clean, everything worked except some temporary outages with internet. Even maintenance people greet you with a friendly hello. Both beach and pools clean with plenty of chairs. Could have used a few more umbrellas at beach but there is a lot of tree shade available. Great location for lots of walk-to restaurants. Also, plenty more restaurants only a mile or so cab ride away. Would definitely stay here if comeback to Barbados. Read less

Beautiful maintain property and beach with 3 pools. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we stayed as a timeshare. They provide chairs and towels for beach and pool, their restaurant PureOcean is right on the beach and has excellent service. Plenty of other restaurants walking distance along the St. Lawrence Gap. We stayed here as a family of 8, 2 adults and 6 children! I chose this hotel as its location is exactly where I wanted to be in terms of a base (I have been to Barbados before and stayed all inclusive). We decided to book for 9 nights over the week of my son’s 2nd birthday. My grandfather was born in Barbados and I visit as often as I can! This time we decided to make the trip extra special and renew our vows as our original wedding was supposed to be in Barbados but Covid put a stop to that once I booked I was made aware that Divi was my grandfathers favourite hotel on the south coast! From the moment I enquired Gercine and Wendy went above and beyond to make the vow renewal happen! From printing our vows, to straightening my dress, to helping navigate our children so that we could capture the most beautiful and precious moment of our lives!! I was almost in tears during the ceremony everything was just perfect! Even accommodating for my bajan family members who came last minute! I will never forget how much effort you both put in for my family! You are both a huge asset to the resort and I really hope on my next visit I get to see you both again! Now back to the review… check in was a little overwhelming with the children after a long flight, there seemed to be some confusion over the rooms, I had to show my booking confirmation so that we could check into our second room. Most of the information (such as towel cards) went over my head, possibly a informal group guided tour 2x a day would allow guests to ask questions that are not in the resort booklet and become acquainted with staff and other hotel guests. The grounds are picturesque with birds and fish and the occasional green monkey (the highlight for my little ones) bajan breeze seems to only serve drinks, this would be a much better alternative dining setting for those wanting to escape the sun while eating. I paid a deposit for both rooms but was unable to charge food or drinks to any rooms at pure ocean, not sure why this was. The food became a little repetitive the same evening and lunch menu to choose from but there’s lots to eat on St Lawrence Gap plus I had a hire car (free parking which was a bonus) so we were able to get out and about and eat locally, up the west coast and in oistins! Each time we returned to the hotel we were always warmly welcomed and service was always always with a smile. Staff were always friendly and on hand to help, maintenance only a small phone call away to front desk. We had two penthouse rooms, one was a little more dated than the other but both comfortable and adequate for our needs including full cooking facilities and fridge freezer!! The hotel photographer was in quite a few days of our stay so we tried to avoid those areas. He did however capture our vow renewal which I am eternally grateful for! Once I have received my copy I will add photos to this review so others can see how stunning the setting really is! I wish you all the best and thank you all for giving my children a lifetime of memories! Read less
