Image of the Tripadvisor rating Top notch beach resort

What a beach resort. Expensive no doubt, but top notch. Tennis courts, basketball, fitness facility is amazing. Pools are beautiful. Beaches are well maintained and gorgeous. Service and people are welcoming and friendly. We went mid Feb 2025 and despite being high season and apparently high capacity, it never felt crowded anywhere.

We have been going to Half Moon for 20 years. It's Paradise. Dining is great. Many restaurants to choose from. Our favorite is Delmare. For breakfast, we eat at Seagrape. Great breakfast. The fellow we got to know, Jahmulhi was extremely attentive and whatever you asked for, he got it for you immediately. I will miss it, but my husband and I will… Read more

A memorable stay was extended by Beryl's arrival. We met our family for a long awaited reunion at the resort. From the moment we arrived we were delighted in the beautiful surroundings, accommodations and especially, the staff. Through out our stay everyone remained cheerful and helpful, even under trying circumstances. Rooms were beautifully appointed and we learned, as we experienced Beryl's force for many hours, built to withstand the strongest winds with hardly a window rattle. There was no better place to be and we felt safe in the storm. Many staff stayed at the resort 24/7 to see to guest safety and comfort, forgoing being with their loved ones to care for strangers. They provided box lunches and water, even a candle and small flashlight. Power was out for a number of days, but they managed to provide lovely meals and even a carnival show one evening along with local artisans who brought their art for us to see. The staff worked day and night to clear the grounds, pools and restore power. Prior to the storms arrival we were able to enjoy a lovely meal at the Sugar Mill. The last night before leaving the beautiful Delmare restaurant on the beach reopened and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our local family left early to take care of their homes, however we spent 4 extra days due to closed airports and delayed flights. The resort went beyond what was expected in extending our stay, reducing pricing and even providing a couple of free nights along with food, since the power was out. An example of the care we received was provided by a grounds keeper, working to clear sand and debris, who noticed us sitting on our porch. He asked if he could bring us coconuts to drink, they were on the ground having been blown off the palms. He used his machete to prepare them and brought them to us. In all our years of travel, Half Moon stands out as the finest example of hospitality, more than beautiful buildings and beaches, it was the people who made it exceptional. Read less

We've been to many resorts in the Caribbean. Half Moon is, by far, the greatest we've ever been to. Our stay at Half Moon was superb. Three reasons: (1) The staff was friendly, warm, and helpful -- not just a few, but everyone whom we encountered, with a degree of sincerity that we have not experienced elsewhere in our travels. If we were to single anyone out, we would name Director of Guest Services Paula and butlers Cason and Shereek as providing exemplary service. (2) The grounds were beautiful, meticulously maintained, and expansive. Half Moon is not a resort that was built to squeeze as many rooms as possible into the available space. (3) Our stay was peaceful -- as peaceful as we wanted it to be. There were no crowds at the beach or pools, no loud music, no raucous guests. Two tips: (1) The complimentary garden walk is well worth the time. (2) Take time to visit the gallery and learn about the art of Michael Lester that is featured on the property. Read less
