We came here dec 16-23 2024 with 4 of us for a romantic couple get away. First off jamaica is amazing. It's been hot all week with very little rain thankfully. Lots of sunshine and UV rays to get that tan on. This is the first trip to jamaica / jewel paradise cove, and what a trip it was. From the time we arrived the resort we were Greeted and given some rum punch to get the part started. The butlers then grabbed our stuff and took us to our room to unpack and get ready for an amazing vacay. Jewel paradise cove is amazing, the food was to die for...perfectly cooked to perfection, the jerk chicken, pork is soo good plus the beans here are delicious. We hit the buffet mostly which was A+, we went to the jade samurai, mmmm very good and they give huge portion of salmon, beef, chicken and rice all freshly grilled right in front of you. The drinks were very good, sometimes stronger than we like but still very good. We stuck around Janice's pool and bar as she is fantastic. She is soo kind and very caring. She has alot of knowledge and you can tell by her smiles she loves her Job. She makes some very very good drinks + ask her about the LADDER CHALLENGE - 10 specialty drinks only made with her secret ingredients!!!! Janice was amazing to deal with all week, we absolutely love her. Over at the sunken treasure bar, they are all superb individuals who love what they do and are very knowledgeable about jamica and it's history. They make very good drinks There as well. Now for the rooms, outdated a bit but that's fine that didn't bother Me at all. The beds were stiff like rock and the pillows but we managed and no we didn't complain cuz it was not a big deal. The front staff were very accommodating and very kind as well. They are also very caring and thoughtful. The resort is small, but I like it that way, less people, less lineups, and easier to find chairs. The beach is small, man made I belive but it's nice with little to no waves in that area. Yeah mon! Is their favorite saying along with wahhh gwan- meaning what's up mon. Also weed is legal and it's allowed so if you smoke there's no issues here trying to get that Jamaican weed which is really good. Hahaha. There's lots of bathrooms here as well so that's a bonus as there's one nearly every corner it seems. The entertainment was bad ass. Very good and the music here is amazing. I live for that reggae. The singer - Cesar- if that's how it's spelled it's a definite do not miss, he was amazing as well. With all that I'm sure I'm missing somethings but this is a definite go to resort for couples and groups who want to have a really good time. We had literally zero issues aside from a hard bed and pillows. Read less

This was our seventh trip to Jewel Paradise Cove. Feel free to read my previous reviews!! Our trip started out with meeting our good friend and driver Tomeik Christie from Reggae Island tours...... We use him every time we're in Jamaica and I highly recommend him. Find him on FB! Before going to the resort, he brought us to see the dancehall wall of fame in Montego Bay and then to Juici Patties. We also did an excursion to Konoko Falls and Green Grotto caves with Tomeik. Forget all the other Falls and do Konoko. It's way less touristy and just as pretty and fun to climb. When we got to the resort, like we always are, we were welcomed home and greeted warmly. Everybody remembered us! Donovan, our bellhop, brought us to our room again. Him, Roan and the rest of the guys at the front.... we always enjoy interacting with them and the way they like to tease me makes me feel like I'm their little sister ! Bunch of great guys. The ladies at the front desk as well are always very sweet to us! We have our favorite room and while we didn't get that room, we did get our second choice! There was a small issue our first night with the toilet not flushing but maintenance was on it very quickly and it was resolved. As mentioned before, in many reviews the rooms may appear dated to some but they are very clean, well maintained and the AC works great! Another small issue..... The soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers didn't work the greatest in our room but again that's a small issue. Our room attendant Silvia did a suburb job keeping our room clean and our fridge was stocked daily. Not only did Silvia do a good job, she is a really sweet lady and we enjoyed getting to chat with her. The Food!!! We love eating at the buffet and all week the buffet was on point! Probably the best of all our visits. We always tried to sit in Rafoy's section, he's a sweetheart and Serita, one of the evening hostesses made it possible for our large group to sit together. I feel bad forgetting some names from the buffet area but I will say everybody from hostess to server was great! And who can forget Fitzroy, who I believe is buffet manager..... his smile could warm the coldest heart. Our group ate at Moonstone one night and the food was really good as was the service! I did try breakfast at Platinum and I was not happy with it. The food took a long time and when it arrived it was cold. So from now on, I think we'll stick to the buffet. And Merric's omelets. We didn't try Platinum at night nor did we try the pizza but those that did said the pizza was really good. The grill food at night was so yummy, especially the burgers! Hubby was very satisfied with the jerk hut....he says the pork was his favorite. The grounds at Jewel are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. I highly recommend doing the nature walk with Derron. Although we didn't do it this time, we have on previous trips. One of the reasons we love Jewel so much is because the grounds are absolutely gorgeous! Water Sports!!! We did the booze cruise with Rojay and Kaylan. The snorkeling on the booze cruise is really great and the guys brought us over to our former resort, Jewel Runaway Bay where we were able to bury a Hot Wheels car for our little boy who passed away. This is a tradition we always do and it meant a lot to us to do it this time with friends and family who joined us this week at Jewel. Water sports and lifeguard staff are awesome, especially my girl Whitney! But I also have to mention Jonoy, Ariel, March, Carlos, Tommy, and Raja. A special shoutout to Dwayne. I stepped on a tiny, little piece of glass and Dwayne made sure I got the glass out and it was cleaned properly. Thank you for that Dwayne! I highly recommend bringing your own snorkel gear for the small beach. Excellent snorkeling. We saw so many fish. We also got to do a bit of kayaking! Speaking of beaches, there are two two of them and it needs to be said that Jewel added sand and extra loungers at the big beach....it was looking great. While the beaches are on the small side and man-made, they are private and well maintained! Security at Jewel is top notch. You will feel safe here! And I've mentioned it before in previous reviews, they will make sure that you are looked after and you will always make it back to your room, lol. Hit the Irie Cafe for your morning coffee or hot beverage. Amazing coffee and Nickera not only remembered us but remembered our order from our previous trips! While we didn't use the spa services, we did get to interact with Sophia who is much loved at Jewel and now I know why. What a sweet lady! Cathy Lee, another room attendant at Jewel who serviced our room on a previous trip needs a mention. She recognized us and made it a point to come and catch up. I've given her a shout out in the past and I was reminded why. She's got a smile for days, and is just one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. I didn't know it at the time but when she was the attendant for our room on a previous trip, she was new. Great addition to the Jewel team! As usual, the jewel cats are looking good! They're also sweet and I love that they're all looking healthy! Ok. Now for my favorites, lol. Let's start with entertainment. Milton..... Thank you so much for once again booking Tenshon Tenshon!! I was so incredibly happy to see him sing again and I know our whole group, as well as everybody else at Jewel this week, loved his performance. He's got soul and I'm so grateful he was booked for our week. If Tenshon Tenshon isn't at Jewel the week you are there, feel free to see him live at Rooftop Bar and Grill about 10 minutes from Jewel on Friday nights!! You won't regret it! He covers a lot of songs and to me sings them better than the originals. I also have to add, during Tenshons performance, my husband brought me up to slow dance. If Tenshon can get my husband to be romantic, that says it all lol. Jewel also had another singer this week, Sizzle. His style is different from Tenshon and is almost as good. He sang a song that is very sentimental to me as well as other favorite dancehall hits! Karaoke night was also fun. I've been promising every visit to get up there and sing and this visit I actually did it with the encouragement from the team. And thank you, thank you, thank you, Jewel for providing an amazing DJ so I can get my dance on. DJ, Chris was great and he played my requests, which I so appreciate... Y'all know I love my dancehall! There was one song I needed to hear this week and DJ Chris played it ! Big shout out to the rest of the entertainment team... Rasheeda, Damario and Javanie. The entertainment team at Jewel work tirelessly from morning to night to ensure guests are engaged and are having a great time! We did the piano bar sing-along twice with Elias Estick. What a great time. Singing, laughing, grooving. He knows how to engage the crowd to give us all a memorable night. Marlon the bartender up there is also a good.... More on him later! The Bar Staff!!! Both Andres, Trevane, Ojaci, Derron, Alex, Ryan, Jermaine, Sheffan, Raymond, Tamique, Shaunessy, Janice, Terry-Ann and Marlon ( I'm sorry if I forgot anyone ).... Thank you for keeping our group well hydrated on our vacation! And Marlon, thank you for singing happy birthday to Gloria, as well as keeping us entertained with Elias at the piano bar. Also to the bar staff..... I was rooting for you guys to win the staff football game. Better luck next time! The ATM was down our week and we weren't able to withdrawal extra money that we needed for tips. We hope this won't be an issue in the future as it's important to us to show the staff how much we appreciate them by tipping generously and I feel bad we couldn't give as much as we would have liked. A huge thank you to all the managers, especially to bossman Donovan and to the GM, Miss Barbara Burton. So long as you guys are there. Sam and I are going to keep coming back over and over again! We are already booked for June! We go to Jewel twice a year to reconnect as a couple and in December it provides a distraction during an otherwise difficult time of the year for us. Jewel did not fail to provide us with an amazing week and I can't wait to see everybody again in June! Read less

A perfect hôtel expectation does not exist. If you want hôtel staff to smile at you then start by putting a smile on your own face. Thats what i do I always get fantastic service every where I go. Think about it… Yes, the rooms are out dated. But they are very clean and comfortable. Everything works perfectly. The food and service was the best I have ever had. Go in with an open mind but mostly be kind and joyfull and you will receive the same. Read less
