Other than a slight delay at check-in, it was an awesome week. The staff is amazing! They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want or need. December is a great time to visit as crowds have not yet started.

Ive been advised by locals and through conversations of workers in spanish that white Americans and Europeans are no longer welcome in Cancun. Those of African and Arabic descent( including African American men and women are welcome) however white Americans and Europeans I've been told and overheard are A. No longer welcome in Cancun and B. Are going to be targeted by law enforcement and locals themselves. I wish this was not accurate or true. Unfortunately these aren't my words but those of the local people themselves. Please be careful and pick a different venue. I honestly believe it's going to get worse for those of light skin color considered "white". I have nothing to gain by putting this out only to warn people of the extreme possibility of impending danger to certain ethnic groups. I'm sorry I had to send this however I hope people will investigate, pass this forward, and I really hope I'm incorrect. Unfortunately I read people and look for possible signs very well and it's all pointing to impending danger. Again I wish it weren't true. I've only been here a week and I've seen it.Danger Read less

About 4 months ago I booked a room for my family in anticipation of our trip at the end of December. Of course, they make you pay in advance, which is not a problem (and pretty normal) for most of these types of resorts. Usually we stay at a different all-inclusive chain hotel brand, but decided to try something different. So after getting charged thousands for the room we had carefully selected, five days before arrival we were sent an e-mail saying, "We are oversold and you have two options, go to an adults-only resort or go to a smaller room that can't accommodate your family." That was it, those were the only options. If you've pre-paid a reservation, booked four months in advance, should you expect the room you reserved is available? I think so. To make matters worse, we are traveling with family and this has pretty much ruined the time for us to be together. I should have read the reviews in detail--apparently this is common place business practice for this outfit, and they have the nerve to defend it. A month ago when my credit card was charged, they hotel should have notified me and either offered a substantial discount or an upgrade to a better room. Read less

This hotel is nothing special and your money is better spent elsewhere. And absolutely DO NOT come here for your honeymoon. The “honeymoon suite” is the same as every other room and overlooks the kids pool. Disappointed is an understatement.

Room is very comfortable with lots of towels and lots of pops and alcoholic drinks. Great pastries, pizzas, ribs and hamburgers during the day. (Great cheese tarts). MOMO the Asian restaurant is entertaining but food is not great. Steak at Palapa is really good. Pool is great and well maintained but water a bit cold. Gym is just ok. Overall had a great time and again a big thank you to the staff. Read less
