My boyfriend and I chose the Grande due to reviews and the renowned beauty of the Grande’s beach. The beach did not disappoint! . We did two excursions. Horseback riding and a combination excursion with JayJay’s through Island Routes. Queen B with JayJay’s was an amazing host and went the extra mile. RoRo (Sandal’s photographer) was also amazing. Please be aware the excursions that include the mud baths are essentially photo shoots. I would have preferred more time to enjoy the elements rather than standing in line for photos. This is not to take away from RoRo, he was fantastic, it’s just a part of the schtick. Unfortunately the photos are the focal point of the excursion only to ask you to pay unreasonable amounts of money for photos when you go to the photoshop. The horse back riding was fun and the guides took those photos on our camera, we appreciate having direct access to those memories. If you’re not club or butler level it’s well worth the $130 for a day at the cabana. Daisy was absolutely lovely, kind, and on top of any of our requests. As other reviews mention if you’re not in a higher category room there are structural issues but everything worked and we didn’t spend much time in our room. Bring change for tips, don’t let people take your luggage from you, and focus on enjoying each moment. Read less

Casey, Ken, and Natalia were the BEST dive masters and we can’t wait to come back and dive again! Shout out to Kevin in the pub for the most delicious chocolate martinis, good company, and lots of laughs. Peter’s cocktails in the swim up bar were amazing too. So glad we got to meet him before he retires. The staff was super friendly, the amenities were great, and the views were incredible. The food was delicious- our favorites were Kimono’s, Soy, and Gordon’s. Also, the entertainment was super fun especially the fire dancers! The only downside was the long drive from the airport and the even longer drive for excursions. We wanted to venture to the other Sandals resorts on the island but it wasn’t worth the drive. We are on the fence about trying out other Sandals resorts because honestly we would be happy to come back to Grande in St Lucia! Best honeymoon ever! Read less

Honeymoon review! First off, you cannot beat the grounds. The island itself and the resort grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The only little snafu of our trip was that our luggage was misplaced and we didn’t receive it until the next afternoon, so we had to spend money on clothes in the gift shop. The resort was of course more than accommodating and even made it right by gifting us a dinner on the beach, which was truly a highlight of the trip. OK on to the good stuff: Room- we stayed in a walkout in the massade building which I firmly believe is the best non- Butler room on the resort. The location was top tier. The room was clean and we loved the shower products provided. They stock the fridge daily, just be sure to ask for extra waters if you think you will need them for the next morning before they come to stock. Restaurants- we never had a bad meal and specifically thought the breakfast buffet was delicious every day. Drink service can be slow but just remember you’re on Island Time and to be kind to the staff. Pool- we LOVED the pool bar! It’s such a fun vibe. However, the quiet pool was near our room and was also lovely. As far as deck chairs go, we preferred the beach but went later in the day with no problems and always found deck chairs. Beach- gorgeous, stunning, 10/10. The water was clear and warm. We went on the beach on both ends, and the end near the over water bungalows has less rocks than by the pier if that’s something you want to avoid. The beach is public so you will have people approaching you to try and make a buck or two. Everyone we met was super nice and left us alone if we kindly declined. Scuba- the absolute highlight of our experience. We were supposed to finish our PADI training our first day, but since our bags were missing they were very accommodating with moving us around. Our confined scuba instructor, Kearney, was fantastic and patient with newbies (aka me). Our open water instructor, Ken, was so insightful and helped us breeze through our skills with confidence. He took us out for 4 separate dives and we even got to see sea turtles. I can’t recommend the dive team enough- especially Ken if you are new to it! The whole experience was incredible. Nightlife- we didn’t get out much, but we did enjoy the live music from our room and balcony. The entertainment team was top notch! Fun2See Ferry- we took the ferry to our resort to avoid the rough car ride from the airport and cannot recommend it enough. The staff were awesome and helpful to take pictures of everyone. We made friends off the bat that we were able to run into as the week went on! Helicopter- we took the helicopter back to the airport to again avoid the traffic and drive. If you are looking into this, just know there is still about a 20-45 minute ride depending on traffic to the smaller airport, so if you get car sick come prepared. Clearwater Tours to Soufriere- there were 3 different speed boat tours into town to do the mud baths and waterfalls. We went with the first one offered (also most expensive) hoping for a great experience. While it was fun, we got rained on the whole time, there wasn’t much music or fun, and they ran out of beer early and people were annoyed since they were promised a party atmosphere. It was more relaxing than anything. If you want the party experience like we did, book JJs or Knotty Girl. I overheard people who got off the Knotty Girl boat say it was the best day of their lives. And, while ours was still great it was probably our least favorite part of the day. And, nobody can predict the rain there. Pro tip- bring Dramamine and a US extension cord. The roads are rough and you could also be taking many boat rides like we did! We fell in love with the island of Saint Lucia and will absolutely be back! Read less

We had the absolute best week! We booked the over the water bungalow and it was worth every penny. Our butlers made our trip incredible. Ellone, Gemma and Kersharma were outstanding. They went above and beyond all week to ensure we had everything we needed. Ellone got all of our tours booked and adjusted to ensure we had the best experience. Kersharma and Gemma surprised us with the most romantic set ups in our room. The whole team surprised us with a romantic lunch on our patio and a beautiful candle light dinner our last night. It was my husband’s birthday and they decorated our entire room, I didn’t even have to ask for anything. We truly had the most amazing trip and it was really because Ellone, Gemma and Kersharma went above and beyond. They made this vacation so special and we cannot wait to return. Thank you Ellone, Gemma and Kersharma, you three are truly special people and we are so thankful to have met you! Read less

We had dinner at the Bombay club restaurant. Harish, Claudia and team were very accommodating and professional. They gave us exceptional service. It is one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to in a while. Definitely recommend for anyone coming to St. Lucia
