After last years issues with our villa and a very disappointing holiday, a lot of things had been fixed. The jacuzzi still leaking badly and had to be topped up twice a day. But that was the only issue we had. The electrics were fine! Nespresso pods and no nespresdo machine! Our resourceful housekeeper found us one. Toaster also broken but replaced with a new one fairly quickly. Housekeeping by Glenda and others were excellent. She is a real gem and with a very fine attention to detail. I wish I could clone her and take her home! She is much appreciated by other fourplex owners too! Turndown service was good if patchy. On three evenings there was no water cartons. I suspect this was because a very virulent stomach bug was doing the rounds so more people were shunning the tap water! FWIW the tap water was fine. All shuttle drivers v helpful and helped with shopping and carrying heavy boxes of wine down the steep concrete steps to our unit. Housekeeping and maintenance sourced the stuff we needed for a party and looked after us well. Niles, Lawrence, Heston in the shuttles section in particular went above and beyond. Front office team and concierges all good. John, Martin etc. Staff at Jammers were fun and Elisha, Travis and Alex all expert in making cocktails. Vanessa, Omany, Mabel and others great. But here is the downside. Both at Dragonfly and at Jammers we had to send the food back as lukewarm and cold in the middle. My soup order had thick skin on it and took 40 mins from order to arrival. The beef koftas whilst tasty were cold in the middle. At Dragonfly the shrimp starters were sent back as it was obvious they had been sitting around or had been batch cooked and then rested. . When redone they were excellent but at the prices it should be got right first time. At our second meal at Jammers I asked for my food to be piping hot. It was and was very good. The others of our party had to wait for their meals and then had the same issues re low temperatures when the food arrived. A real Pity as I was looking forward to trying different things on the revised menu. But something going wrong in the kitchens…. Sadly husband went down with a bad stomach bug shortly after. Many families were ill that week some for days. Hubby recovered after 24 hours luckily. At that point we decided not to eat any further food on resorts a precaution so cooked our own or ate out. Happy hour has been stopped (not sure why) but we did go down at 5:40pm and have a few drinks and chat to the staff. But the atmosphere was lacking as only a few of us around. The owners cocktail parties were good well attended, and it was nice to get together. Thanks to Jessica for putting up with our many questions! The new refurbished pool is stunning and I liked the new towels. Aqua aerobics were excellent and great fun, as was my sail with Cursin which was rainy but fun! I had a great holiday this time and felt that WJ was trying hard. Hopefully the villa refurbishments will continue to bring the resort up to 4-5 star standard across the resort. Read less

On arriving the hotel gives the right first impression - white, blue and contemporary but that’s where it ends really. I booked this holiday for my niece’s birthday treat and wanted it to be so special. I’m still here but leaving tomorrow for another hotel in Barbados (leaving my paid for room here empty for 3 nights!) This hotel is full of time share guests and maybe they get different treatment as they are regulars. However if, like us, you just come as a paying guest it’s super expensive and certainly not worth the money. Out of all the staff, only about 5 are friendly, polite and interact. Amongst the others there is rudeness or they are chatting amongst themselves. The food is hit and miss. There are certain parts that are still very tired looking. There was a beach dog wandering around the pool one day, looking for food and drinking the pool water. I love dogs but this shouldn’t be. My nephew did speak to the manager re the above. This place needs serious customer service training put in place. We made the most of it but I would never return or recommend this hotel to anyone. We are totally disappointed. I’ve never written a review like this before but feel the absolute need to, on this occasion. Read less

Had a 10 day stay in a basic room on a breakfast only package and all in all it was a great holiday. The resort is spacious and it never felt crowded such that there is no real need to venture further afield. Our room was very comfortable with a great view over the sea and to get some exercise we rarely used the shuttle service and thus had a reasonably tough walk up the hill. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice of international and local foods, my highlight being the cooked to order omelettes. For other meals, there were lots of options for both lunch and dinner with Jammers the best for lunch and Upoer Deck and Papa Don’s for dinner. However not being on all- inclusive package did result in some sharp intakes of breath when it came to the food and drink prices which were pretty steep. The hotel sits on a delightful bay and there are ample very comfortable sun beds. There is a well equipped gym and I really enjoyed the daily aquaarobics session in the main pool. The only downside of our stay was the fact that we both contracted a very nasty 24 hour bug which hit me hard and enquiries established that it was fairly prevalent not only in the hotel, but also elsewhere on the island . Hats off however to the resident nurse and our housekeeping lady who did a sterling job. Read less

Windjammer Landing boasts stunning grounds with beautifully maintained gardens and breathtaking views. The lush surroundings truly make it feel like a tropical paradise, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the property looking its best. The staff were warm, friendly, and eager to help, which added a nice personal touch to our stay. However, there were a few aspects that held the experience back from being exceptional. Such as our room was in need of a face lift, rust on the bathroom blind, stains and cracked tiles and a pile of rust on the bathroom floor from the door hinges, windows that were difficult to open and close. While the resort has great potential, some areas felt a bit dated and in need of modernisation. Additionally, certain services and amenities didn’t quite meet expectations; Billing is something I’d advise travellers to keep an eye on, there were a few items added to our bill that weren’t ours and some added that we paid cash for, the frustration of having to sort these little things out takes the shine off, which was disappointing for the price point. We booked through Kuoni who list this resort as 4 stars, and I would say it’s just about able to post that rating. Overall, a lovely setting with pleasant staff, but there’s room for improvement to match the calibre of its surroundings. Read less

Stunning location, great range of sporting facilities - gym., tennis, watersports (sailing, water skiing etc), well appointed villas with great views - particularly those further up the hill side. Friendly and helpful staff, the beach is great for children and the swimming is superb.
