Our positive experience with the Sarojin began from the moment we were greeted at the airport by Kareem, our driver. The black SUV vehicle was clean and included cotton covers on the seats and pillows for our comfort. We were given an information sheet on how to log into the Wi-Fi in the car, offered fresh drinks and snacks, and were given an information welcome letter. Kareem is the best (were able to get him for the ride back to the airport, too!) On arrival, we were given a welcome drink and cold towel. The lobby and garden/central pond and lawn area is even more beautiful than the photos. We reserved a Jacuzzi suite, and were taken directly there, given a nice tour, including simple but important things like where to find light switches, what is included complimentary (tea, coffee, milk, and sugar for coffee, water, fresh fruit, every day, bug spray, and one free bath bomb) and what would incur an extra charge (typical minibar items and additional use of bath bombs). We had just come from a stay at the brand new Ritz Carlton in Bangkok, so I was afraid I would be disappointed, but the room was beautifully appointed and so tranquil that we never heard, nor saw, another guest from our room. We used the Jacuzzi every day. Such a treat. The very fine breakfast we heard about was not included on our arrival day, so we opted to eat fruit in our room and then pay for dinner later. We had read many reviews about guests who ate only the breakfast here and then took meals elsewhere along the beach restaurants to save money. We thought we might do the same, but after having that wonderful meal experience, our first night, we did not feel it was in our best interest to venture elsewhere. The quality of the food is superb, the presentation absolutely beautiful, and the prices are fair. The breakfast the next day was everything that people raved about in other reviews. The only menu item missing that I might like is oatmeal, but it was so wonderful having freshly made omelettes, pastries, açai, bowls, and really anything else you could wish. It filled us up so much that, generally, other than a banana for a snack, we did not eat another meal until dinner. Unlike all the other local restaurants, you have access to a top quality chef (or chefs) at this resort. All the wait staff were pleasant and alert to our needs. We did the Thai dinner experience with entertainment at the restaurant by the beach. At first, we weren’t going to do it, but when we saw how elaborate the set-up was with so many different food stations, we changed our minds. It was well worth it! The beach and particularly the water is outstanding. There are a few pieces of rocks/coral to navigate as you walk into the water, but otherwise the water is clear. The Apple Watch showed the temperature ranging from 84 to 87° in January during our stay. We took advantage of the paddle boards and the Hobie cat. The watersports staff was so kind and helpful. They are also the ones to bring you fresh water and sometimes watermelon while you’re lounging on the beach. Plenty of lounge chairs and no need to get out there early. The entire staff, in fact, acts like they are so happy to have you here. The landscaping crew works hard all day doing a very difficult job taming this jungle into a sanctuary, but they always have a smile when you pass. It is noted that they do not use loud landscaping tools, which very much lends to the tranquil environment. It’s very sweet that the housekeeping staff takes the time to make little decorations for your pillow out of plant fronds, and they do a very nice job of tidying the room. My husband and I both took advantage of the spa and, all I could say is that every other spa experience tries to mimic the natural beauty and sounds of this spa, but it is real! Tropical bird sounds, running water, lush greenery, tea service, essential oils, and the most gracious attendants. Finally, and we cannot emphasize this enough, the care of the staff at the Sarojin is of the highest caliber. Our experience was unique, but I would like to share it. My husband had a medical emergency, and by the time we made it to the lobby, they had a car waiting for us and a wonderful staff member, Nee, with copies of our passport in hand, ready to accompany us to the medical facility. She helped to reassure us by being able to communicate clearly and directly with the medical staff. This emergency warranted two repeat trips and she showed up and did the same during her days off. That service is something you can not put a price on, and it was done from the heart and with the utmost of care and professionalism. Nee gave us her WhatsApp contact info and continued to check in and communicate with us throughout our stay. We have been fortunate to travel to beach resorts all over the globe (we love being in the natural water, hence no mention of the beautiful pool at the resort in our comments) and this now tops our list of destinations. We are hoping to be back some day in the future, but will hold our stay in our memory bank as one of the best experiences of our lifetime. Read less

You've got to pinch youself upon arrival, it's pure bliss: as the gates of Heaven open before you... Digression: we are very discerning travellers: when we fly long-haul, we choose carefully our destinations and we stay minimum 12 days in one location - we stayed two weeks at the Sarojin. The Sarojin is not expensive by European standards, compared to what it has to offer - yet, the price tag of approx. 700€/night, breakfast included draws somehow a selection of guests. MOST important: it is adults only (PLEASE KEEP IT THIS WAY). We come here to relax, unwind, not to hear and see children engaged in Brownian movements througout the resort. I have definitely a sweet spot (faiblesse, in French) for the Asian countries - yet, I was surprised by the attitude, professionalism and friendship showed by the staff - all comes natural for them and we already feel as part of the family, 5 days into our stay. I thought HK residents are the most welcoming, then I met the Seoulites and changed my mind - only to realize that Thai people - especially the Sarojin team - are even more friendly and welcoming. Certainly, there is a truly high standard in the service, throughout the resort - compared to 1st class service in 5 star EU hotels, it is a fair match (say Park Hyatt Vienna, our mosr recent EU destination). This is due to the people but also to a tight Management. All in all, if you come here with a 5 star service mentality - you won't be disappointed. The Pool Residence is not large 'per se' - at 100m2, but it is well compartimented and has a private crystal clear pool, within a privacy garden. The resort pool is very large and surrounded by manicured gardens with palm trees and other vegetation (they even have a "resident" white bird, walking around - an egret. The beach is small but very clean, the sand is soft and the waterbed smooth - you go over 50m in the Andaman Sea to be shoulder high. There are only 56 accommodation spaces - so the beach, pool, premises, never feel crowded. We have several day tours organized, all customized: local temples' tour; Khao Sok National Park and Elephant Sanctuary; 3rd is South East coast and POIs. Big kudos for: Ms. Phatthira - she was my liaison during the holiday preparation period, being a part of my decision to choose The Sarojin; she did address all my inquiries/requitements very promptly. Upon arrival, we were met by a party who offered my wife a nice orchid and Khun KADE, the Operations Manager did make us feel welcome. Khun Kade is omnipresent, always eager to help. We got to meet a few of the staff - Aoy at The Edge restaurant, Taa, our driver upon arrival; Jom, Sak at The Edge, Khun Sak and Wuth at Ficus restaurant; during our 1st tour, our driver Jak and our guide Tom were very helpful; Tom was our guide for all 3 custom tours An important note on the Pathways SPA: we have booked 3 SPA comprehensive sessions during our stay - all three in a couples' pavillion; our therapists ( for my wife Ann and for me Nuch ) had exceptional skills - no where in Europe the SPA therapists are so experienced! I do not recall many names - in fact, ALL staff has their mind poised to make you feel as family and at home; first and foremost - Khun Kade - if we are going to return, most of the credit goes to him!; Khun Sak, Khun Wuth and Mrs. Mon fromThe Ficus restaurant; Khun Ra and Mrs. Aoy at the Edge. Both restaurants serve excellent food, so for 2 weeks we swayed between European and Asian. There are theme nights - Thai BBQ each Friday evening - we were very lucky to attend on a Tuesday a fusion dinner buffet, with seafood/European/Thai selection and a top performing duo (from Phuket) who started with old-school jazz and continued with evergreens - a truly memorable night! The only caveat (draw-back) was thst during last 3 or 4 days we had noisy neighbours during early evening (but silence was swiftly restored after we announced the Front Office). All in all, a memorable experience! Read less

What an experience, can't praise the Sarojin highly enough, from the moment we arrived we arrived we were treated as special people. The reception team were so friendly and made sure we were aware of all the facilities prior to escorting us to our room. The room exceeded ourexpectations with a huge comforable bed, his and hers sinks, two showers and separte toilet. the breakafst was excellent and was served all day so no rush in the morning, lazy walk along the beach then back for breakfast, special mention to Kwan who was so funny with a cheeky laugh always smiling. The sunbeds on the beach were comforable and Sam and Pol ensured that everyone had fresh ice cold water all day with Water Melon in the afternoon. The hotel has cycles free to hire, well worth a trip to the waterfall and the Elephant scantury close by. Also if you want a trip to the local market that is sorted for you by the hotel, you get your own way back but Koa Lach is worth a visit. Wouls certainly recommend the Sarojin, although the evening meals are a little expensive the quality is second to none. Would stay again if we visit the area again. Read less

The hotel gardens are very attractive , quiet and attract wildlife -plenty of frogs in the lovely ponds and even some impressive lizards in the creek ! The all day breakfast option with both Thai and European choices is a winner and means there’s no pressure - eat a late brunch outdoors with lovely staff in a garden setting . The Thai restaurant back from the beach has a great menu with lots of choice of well presented flavour packed food at real value for a 5 star hotel . The more International focussed alternative gives a good alternative if you need it and themed evenings add further choice . A small but well equipped gym and useful library are additional benefits Staff throughout are friendly and engaged in your enjoyment. With some good excursions as well this is an excellent choice Well worth a stay Read less

The thai beef salad , is one of the best things I have ever eaten. As expected the breakfasts were again superb. We had previously been staying at a nearby hotel, and although that was ok, the Sarojin, was just a few levels up in every way. The beach is important to me, and the loungers here are comfy and the beach staff excellent. Also you can get shade when required. If I had to find one fault, I would say the cocktails are not amazing, especially considering their price. All in all excellent, and we hope to return. A big thanks you to all the staff. Read less
