The hotel

Thailand’s first luxury tented jungle camp, Elephant Hills, combines the camp aspect of an East African safari with the Thai tropical rainforest. Located in Khao Sok National Park, Elephant Hills is just a couple of hours north of Phuket or Krabi and with complimentary transfers from most beach hotels in the region, it’s an easy combination and an unmissable experience. We are proud to support the unique elephant experience where you can feed and interact with these magnificent creatures, an award-winning programme that puts elephant welfare, education and conservation at the heart of what they do.

It was a mixture of many activities, we learned a lot of Thailands nature . The  jungle sounds in the camp  during the night were exciting. Of course best the best part was getting in touch with the elephants, it was so interesting and heart- warming. Hopefully we will be able to come back sometime in the future. Merry Christmas to all the Team, especially Mona !! We wish you a good start to a successful new year and always friendly customers!! Read less

If you value quality, honesty, and getting what you pay for, avoid his place. There’s absolutely no value for money here. • Food: Way below average. Repetitive, uninspired, and often recycled into “new” dishes. • Excursions: Mediocre at best. Nothing special or memorable. • Accommodation: Subpar for what’s supposed to be a 3-star experience. For instance, the “promised” coffee is just instant Nescafé, despite their marketing posters showcasing fancy local coffee beans. • Logistics: If you book the 3-night package, be aware they won’t even let you take your luggage to the camp lake—a basic courtesy you’d expect for such a high price. • Nickel-and-Diming: This was the final straw. We paid $2,000 for 3 nights (yes, check their prices), only to be charged an additional 4 euros for a disposable toothbrush on the last night. Unbelievable. While some of the Thai staff were kind and the transportation logistics efficient, they can’t make up for the owner’s transparent greed and lack of respect for guests. I understand the British owner wants to make a profit, but not like this. I left feeling utterly scammed. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. Read less

What can I say that hasn't been said about this amazing place. It was no doubt the highlight of our Thai holiday. We travelled with our teenage son (14) and he just loved it. We did one night at the elephant santuary and one night at the lake camp. The lake camp is so worth doing especially if you have teenagers. The tents are amazing and i was expecting to be kept awake with the heat but the large fans are effective and it wasn't an issue. So much fun paddle boarding and canoeing for both kids and adults, i never stood on a paddle board before but it is so safe and water so warm I had to give it a go. Loads of food available and lots of variety. Kong was our guide and she is such a professional and fit lady, keeping a close eye on everything, felt very safe under her care. There is a lot of co-ordination required by the EH management to make this operate smoothly from pickups at airport, movement between santuary / lake and drop off to onward destination, I really couldn't believe how seamlessly this worked. Full marks to EH, you really are a class operation. Read less

They looked after us so well. Dean was our tour guide and he helped make our experience so special. The elephant experience was phenomenal and reassuringly ethical. Our stay at the lake camp was incredible! So beautiful with lots of wildlife, we even saw a wild elephant while on the long tail boat, and monkeys on the kayaks. It’s amazing how the team makes a tent so luxurious! All tents have a bathroom with a good toilet and shower. Food was excellent and the team provided lots of vegetarian options for us Read less
