Key West, Florida Keys

The hotel

Opened on New Year's Eve 1920, Casa Marina Resort is Key West’s original grand resort, and it's just been newly renovated again! Boasting a dramatic 'water walk' that leads to the resort's two largest swimming pools and the largest private beach in Key West, Casa Marina is a tranquil oasis close enough to the action of Duval Street. Offered on-site is a booking centre for world-class diving, fishing and boating, and it also has the largest fitness facility in Key West, allowing you to work off those holiday indulgences! Guest rooms here are contemporary in style with whitewashed walls, textured tile floors and dark tropical hardwoods — a great place to retire to at the end of a busy day seeing the sights. For dining the hotel’s Sun Sun restaurant and bar, an open-air wood pavilion overlooking the pools and beach, is great for those seeking a casual atmosphere and plenty of that Floridian sun!! And as if all this wasn't enough, you can take advantage of the facilities at the sister property, The Reach, just one block away.

Don’t stay here. Hotel is dated and service and attitude of the staff including management is really bad. We Booked a suit. It smelled really bad from cigarets ( and we are traveling with 2 babies). Then the way they handled it was even worse.so sorry I chose to spend Christmas at this place.

The location is great, I love key west but the management and the service is terrible. For this amount of money I would much rather go to another hotel. Management did not care to help me with the problems that I had and refused to properly treat their customer. Please go somewhere else where they treat their guests properly.

The place is wonderful. New renovations and a private beach front. We could walk from our room to the sand. Great food, service, and friendly staff. Clean, open, and relaxing. The food at Dorado was delicous! Canary Room was inspiring! But the buffet at Flagglers was what won my heart. The buffet was a great way to start my day. Giving me all the fuel I needed to get the most out of Key West each day. The second time I had breakfast there I was by myself. Took a while to be noticed by my server because I was alone in the corner. (No biggie) But Nicardo (staff member) noticed. He made sure from that moment on that I did not go without. He even opened my tobasco bottle for me and protected my food from the birds. What an impression he left with me. I went from feeling unnoticed to the most important person on the patio. I hope he is there when I return next year!!! Personal touches like that made this exceptional trip in a beautiful place extraordinary. The type of service you would expect at a four seasons. From the valet, door man, front desk, beach staff, housekeeping, to Victoria at Morrisons, and Mike at the bar service was exceptional. Key West sells itself. The Casa Marina is a historical Hilton. If thats not good enough for you then get over yourself. But it truly was the staff (Mainly my experience with Nicardo!) who really made all the difference. I'll be back soon. We stayed in a loft with an ocean view. Great sunrises and sunsets! Check out Hemingway House and Butterfly Museum. Visit the garden club! Higgs Beach! Hurricame Hole is a must! Eat at The Docks!!! And little Pearl too! Get off your tush and enjoy what Key West has to offer. You won't regret it. Read less

I believed that I was checking into a world class resort in and paid dearly for it. Diamond member with Hilton as well. Our room has THUMPING music and you can feel the floor vibrating. When we asked about changing rooms they offered us a room with only one bed and even tho they have many other suitable & available rooms we are basically stuck and we have 4 people. The front office ‘director’ while I admit I was very upset on arrival and I swore (not calling him anything but describing my anger and shouldn’t have) refused to give me my room number after parking as my wife checked us in. We are from another country and have no service and no way to call her until I connect to WiFi. The ‘director’ said he’d call her and I said you can’t. He then suggested maybe I should ‘walk around and look for her if I want to find her so bad’ I’m honestly shocked this is how things go here. And allllll through the evening the floors shaking and I can literally sing along to the music with them… I wish I was able to upload a video to show how truly loud it is in the $500 a night room. I cannot believe this hotel has anything over 2 stars. 10/10 would not recommend. Customer service 0/10 - room size 5/10 - cleanliness 8/10. Read less
