Without being advised that they are under construction we checked into this hotel after a cruise. We had stayed there previously and liked it so rebooked this year by phone. The agent who took the reservation did not disclose that it is basically a construction site at the moment. Be forewarned. There is no front entry and no back entry to the beach which we found very convenient last year. There is no pool or a deck to sit around. There is no place to sit besides their lobby which has been cut in half due to the construction out front. To their benefit we did find the staff to be good and somewhat helpful. The room we had, a junior suite on an upper floor with a view of the beach, was large and great. Very similar to the one we had last year though we were told we were in a renovated room, it was the same as last year's room. The breakfast we had was outrageously expensive. a cup of tea, a cup of coffee, one scone and one prewrapped piece of pound cake coming to $28.00. Probably could have gone for a full breakfast for not much more. They charge guests $52.00 a night to park overnight. What they have going for them is the location. Once the renovations are done which we were told would be next March we are sure it will be beautiful with a price to match. The price this year should have been discounted for the lack of facility or at least include the minimal breakfast offerings in the room price. Read less

Jackson the beach guy is sweet. Super kind and helpful. Loved my time there. My friends and I had multiple conversations with him and enjoyed our time in the water and playing football trusting him to watch our items. We always had fresh towels and just had a good time.

Ive been a loyal Bon voy member for years, and after trying to save my company a few bucks I was disappointed so I switched hotels. Well I am glad I did! This place has a great location near the action but distant enough to avoid the beach craziness! Highly reccommended for business travelers.

We stayed from November 12-19. Upon arrival we were met by the parking attendant, who worked for company called PMC. They are either affiliated with or contracted out by the hotel.I was informed that I would have to payoff valet parking for the whole week. Which I did. Parking was over $58 per day including service charges and tax, for a total of $407.98. I used a different credit card for the parking, than the one I used for the hotel. Upon checkout, I received the hotel bill, which seemed OK. Upon my return home , I received a modified hotel bill, which added 3 days of additional parking for the sum of $166.92. Did not notice this till this morning, two days later. What gives??? Never had this happened at any other Marriott. Additionally, their website on the Bonvoy app did not mention anything about construction, and very limited amenities, as in hardly none. the only amenity available were beach chairs. Being a gold Bonvoy member, we were disappointed. Had we known this, we would have booked another Marriot. Read less

Average value for the area. They did not advertise that the pool was closed until we checked in to the non-refundable room but they offered free beach chair rental. Parking is expensive and valet only - over $80 per day. The beds were comfortable. Good location with the beach across the street.
