We were down for a quick trip, so really didn't use all of the property at the Hotel, Lobby and Aura restaurant were inviting, but our Garden Villa was tired, needs an update. The location is pretty prime so an update would be important to get better rating.
A great experience.

I have so many great things to say about this place. It is lovely. The staff is wonderful, warm, and helpful. The location and facilities are great. Self parking is easy and reasonable.
We have parents in the area and go to Naples often so have stayed in many resorts in the area. Id have to say this is now my favorite.
We booked a relatively inexpensive room (not the nicest view, and not the nicest room) and it was GREAT for the price. We were actually near the elevators, usually a really bad experience in most hotels, and it was not an issue at all. Speaking of elevators, a pet peeve of mine is having to wait 10 minutes for a lift: not an issue here. The hotel has 16 floors so I thought it would be a problem, but it was not.
While our room could use some updating (we had a sort of old fashioned jet tub, the sliding door to the deck was metal and bumped along unevenly and the dresser had chips) the room was nice. The beds comfy. The carpet wasn't gross (this is high praise for hotel room carpet which is generally gross: I prefer no carpet). The room was clean (I can usually find dust). The bathroom had lots of new, light and fluffy towels.
The hotel is not on the beach. It is separated from the beach by a mangrove, so there is a shuttle that takes you there. It's about 5 mins on the shuttle or 15 mins if you walk on the boardwalk to the beach. The beach is lovely and the adventure of getting there is sort of enjoyable. I liked that the beach with the mangrove growth, felt a bit more authentic without skyscraper after skyscraper lining the sand.
There are two pools, a family pool with a zero entry for little ones and a really fun slide. There is an adult pool area as well..I am sure it would be appreciated by someone who wanted peace and quiet. It's great that they offer both. They are separated by a restaurant that was always filled with happy looking people.
The gym was large enough that I never had to wait for equipment, offered tons of towels and lots of wipes (this is so great when you watch some jerk drip his sweat all over the treadmill, then swagger out of the gym...eww).
A review that says only great things is almost never real, so if I had to make some critiques that would be that the gym cardio equipment could use upgrades/updates: the software is really old. Some items in my room could have been updated, as well, but again I booked a low end room just to see how "bad" it can be. I had many options to book a nicer room and will do so next time. Really am looking forward to going back.

Horrible experience. I booked a room through Hotels.com on Friday Jan. 24, to check in on Friday Jan. 31. However, the next day (1/25), I checked my inbox and saw a confirmation for a Jan. 24 arrival! I immediately dropped by the hotel to straighten out the matter, but was told by the front desk that I was listed as a "no show" and my online credit card payment of $668 was not refundable. The hotel manager was called in and said the same thing. I called Hotels.com and was told that there was nothing they could do about it either.
I wasn't even asking for a refund. I simply wanted my payment to be applied to the date I had originally booked, but, according to everyone involved, that wasn't an option.
So, now I'm out $668 and left with a very unfavorable opinion of Naples Grande Beach Resort and Hotels.com. Having owned several successful small business over the last 30+ years, I can't understand how companies make stupid little decisions that cause more harm, ill feelings and bad publicity than just doing what's right for the customer. In addition to this negative review, I've shared my story multiple times with others and will continue to do so.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were always friendly and incredibly helpful, making our experience even better. The amenities were fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the variety of restaurants. Whether you're traveling with family or looking for a romantic getaway, this place is perfect for all ages. Highly recommended!
Barely average hotel

Meh at best. Very overpriced for what you get. This does not feel like a luxury hotel at all. It is a very long walk to the beach. So far, all outdoor/beach amenities have been closed due to cool weather. Room is good size, not very modern, and only one chair. Would not recommend.
