The hotel

Just a 10 minute drive from Tampa International Airport, this hotel is a great place to stop on your journey into the gulf coast, before you head off to one of many famous beaches. Connected by the causeway, there’s easy access to Clearwater, so you can have your feet in that soft white sand in no time. You don’t need to leave the hotel to get views of the water though, watch the bayside sunsets from your room, or whilst dining at the waterfront grill, sipping on your favourite cocktail.

291 guest rooms and suites across 7 floors, all with air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi access, 55-inch LCD TV, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, bathroom amenities, and hairdryer. 

Standard Rooms feature two queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Pool and Bay View Rooms with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Sunset View Rooms with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Bay View Patio rooms are located on the ground floor with a private patio, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Suites feature a separate living room with sofa bed, wet bar area with mini fridge and microwave, and bedroom with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 6 people. 

BLUFIN Waterfront Grill (casual all-day dining, with indoor and outdoor seating).

The front desk is very helpful! Mr Rubin Ray helped us with our digital key and also gave us cookies for the holiday. Given his help, we have good impression for this hotel so far. If we come back to tampa in the future, we will definitely consider this hotel again. Will recommend to ours as well

Best service, really nice guy both Rubin and ray, great view great place to stay, it have best location and beat oeacen view, it is my first time visiting this total but it is one of my best experiences of all the hotels, highly recommended! Very good

Service at the front office was excellent. We felt very well treated and lots of options were provided at our arrival. Also all accommodations were provided! I would highly recommend visiting this hotel. Our room was very clean and all facilities looked very nice! We just loved spending our anniversary night at The Double Tree

I’m a Marriott guy but was forced to stay here because of a group trip. So let’s start with the good, nice location on the water, decent snack shop, ample parking (but more to come on this). Room was clean (but needs a refresh). Ok sized room. Front desk staff are nice. Plenty of cookies although they don’t taste very good. Plenty of good lighting… Read more

Now for the bad, can improve area: it’s the little things that make the stay better. For example, no hooks in the bathroom to hang towel. With sustainability push these days i try to reuse the towel more than once but no hooks on wall or behind door. I ended up using the closet and hanger. Furnishings need a refresh. A bit outdated. But the kicker for me, you have to pay for parking! Read less
