Dates of Stay: Sunday, 1/12/25 - Friday, 1/17/25 Total Nights: 5 In a nutshell, the Marriott Orlando World Center continues to shine and be a wonderful choice for travel to the Disney World area! It offers excellent staff and service, and is in the perfect location to be able to easily reach all that Disney World has to offer! This definitely is a great option for your next trip to the region, whether for business or the theme parks! Now, for my detailed review: As usual when I regularly stay at a property, I must disclose that the Marriott Orlando World Center is a favorite, and I stay here regularly each year for an extended conference. Over the years, I have seen many enhancements to the property, and each time I return, this massive resort continued to shine and impress! For more information on my prior experiences with this property over the years, you can still find several of my prior reviews posted on TripAdvisor: -January 2024, entitled: "Yet Another WONDERFUL Stay!!! Marriott Orlando World Center Continues to Impress!!! (posted February 7, 2024) -January 2023, entitled: "Post-COVID, Marriott Orlando World Center Continues to Shine!! GREAT Service & AMAZING Property" (posted January 13, 2023) -January 2020, entitled: "Another PERFECT Stay - An AMAZING Resort in a GREAT Location!!!!" (posted January 23, 2020)) -January 2018, entitled: "Spectacular Property!! Great Location, Perfect Views & Amazing Staff!!!" (posted January 25, 2018) Honestly, I have said so very much about this property on TripAdvisor over the years, it is hard to think of what to add, but I will try and provide a bit more insight into this wonderful resort from my most recent stay. First, before I begin, I have seen numerous people complain about the costs in reviews over the last few months -- specifically, the cost of food. I would argue that you should pay little attention to those complaints and they should not lead you astray from this great property! Costs are not unique to this property and any such comments seem to show that such reviewers are not familiar with the Orlando area. Being the theme park capitol of the world and a beacon of the tourism industry, everything in Orlando and the Disney World region comes at a premium. The prices that you find at the Marriott Orlando World Center are completely in line with -- and honestly, sometimes lower than -- what you will find at other comparable properties and certainly lower than what you will pay at a Disney-operated hotel. In fact, you will find that prices at this property's excellent "Central Pantry" are very reasonable for a Florida Resort Property, especially considering its prime location! One of the best features of the Marriott Orlando World Center is its location. Located in the heart of the Orlando Theme Park District, when staying here, you are within 10-20 minutes (depending on traffic) of any of the Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. But, when you stay here, you are not only close to Disney as you are within 20-30 minutes of either Sea World or Universal. With such a prime location, you will always be close to all that Orlando has to offer, and depending on your room, you are close enough that you can actually see the Theme Park Fireworks! Getting to and from the Marriott Orlando World Center and the Orlando International Airport could not be easier, as it is located about seventeen (17) miles from the airport. As Orlando is extremely ride-share friendly, it is not hard to get a ride to and from without booking in advance. However, if you want to confirm an easy transportation option in advance, Mears Transportation continues to offer pre-booked bus shuttle service for $22 one-way or $36 round-trip. Personally, I would opt for Uber or Lyft, but you have so many options to get to this property from the airport. Should you decide to rent a car, the Marriott Orlando World Center does offer ample parking in both a large parking garage attached to the convention center or a surface lot behind the North Tower. As with basically every Resort in Orlando, parking is not free. Current parking costs are $38/night for Self Parking and $50/night for Valet Parking. While this may sound pricey, it is completely in line with what you would pay at other Resorts in the region. Now, as this is a Resort, I must mention the ubiquitous elephant in the room, the "Resort Fee." This Fee is commonplace in Orlando, and pretty much the only full-service property in the area where you will not find such a Fee is at a Disney-operated hotel (but, you most certainly will still pay as it is basically priced into the Disney room rates!). Currently, the Resort Fee at the Marriott Orlando World Center is $47/day and it includes the following: -Daily admission to River Falls Water Park for up to 4 guests -Daily scheduled shuttle service to Disney Parks for up to 4 guests -Enhanced in-room wireless internet for up to 6 devices -Nightly scheduled shuttle service to Disney Springs for up to 4 guests While this Fee may seem high initially, its inclusion of shuttle service to the Disney World Parks and to Disney Springs daily is going to more than cover that cost. For reference, during peak travel times to and from the parks when they open and close, a one-way ride-share is likely going to range between $15-$20. Additionally, while most area hotel shuttles will only provide transportation to the Disney World Parks, the Marriott Orlando World Center is one of the only properties that will get you to all of the dining, shopping and nightlife at Disney Springs each evening. So, for that free transportation alone, your Resort Fee is more than worth it! Additionally, the access to the truly amazing River Falls Water Park is another great value. While numerous properties in the area claim to have an on-site "water park," the Marriott Orlando World Center is one of the few properties that can actually live up to such a claim. The Marriott Orlando World Center has always had an amazing grotto-style pool complex and a large water-slide tower at its Falls Pool, but the newer River Falls Water Park takes this property over the edge, featuring a long and relaxing lazy river and three very large new water slides that rival any of those at a theme-park's water park! As long as the weather in Orlando remains beautiful -- which is does most of the year -- you will never run out of fun and excitement while at the Marriott Orlando World Center's pool complexes! A tip -- while you will find more than ample seating throughout the Marriott Orlando World Center's pool complexes, for the busier summer season, as well as during Spring Break and holiday periods, the property offers some beautiful private cabanas and premium poolside seating that is bookable in advance at a reasonable cost. One final note on the Resort Fee -- the included "enhanced" wifi truly is enhanced! Many large properties have wifi servers that get bogged down or even make you pay a premium for true high speed, not so at the Marriott Orlando World Center! Here, we have always found the wifi to be lightning fast (with speeds well in excess of 30-40Mbps), and it has allowed for numerous zoom meetings and even streaming without any issue. As for accommodations, all rooms at the Marriott Orlando World Center are spacious and modern, on par with what you would expect of a classic Marriott-flagged property. Each room features hard-surface flooring (and not the dreaded dirty carpet you so often find at hotels these days!) and modern furnishings featuring more than ample electrical outlets, both regular sockets and USB charging ports. Beds are quite comfortable with newer mattresses and plush bedding and bath amenities are the standard large in-shower bottles of Marriott's excellent "In the Zone" bath products. And each room is equipped with a large-screen smart television, featuring access to numerous streaming services and on-demand features as has become the norm for Marriott properties. Finally, one of the best features of most rooms at the Marriott Orlando World Center are large balconies, offering expansive views of the property. A tip -- book a pool view category room, and you should be able to see the property's excellent pool laser-light show each evening (and, you may even get lucky enough to see Theme Park Fireworks!). For this stay, we booked our favorite room type, the 1-Bedroom Pool View Suite, so we were able to have a bit more space to work and relax and we got to see the pool laser-light show and Fireworks each evening! Several photos of our room and its view are attached to this review. Finally, as for Dining at the Marriott Orlando World Center, you will never run out of options, several of which include: Central Pantry - a great quick option, offering numerous easy grab-and-go meals. Additionally, it offers numerous hot and fresh-cooked menu items. Finally, Central Pantry offers up an assortment of snacks, desserts and beverages -- including beer, wine and liquor -- available to take back to your room. Falls Pool Bar & Grill - offering great pool views, excellent bar service and some wonderful food options! Latitude & Longitude - offering an excellent breakfast buffet daily! And Platinum-and-higher Elite Tier Members of the Bonvoy Program have access to the large Continental Section of this Buffet as an Elite Welcome Amenity Option. This Continental Section is very well stocked and will easily provide enough for breakfast, but should you wish for the full buffet, it is available to Platinum-and-higher for a very reasonable up-charge. High Velocity Sports Bar - a fun place to dine and enjoy sporting events on numerous large televisions offering stellar service and great food and drink options! Siro Urban Italian Kitchen - offering some truly AMAZING pasta dishes, especially when combined with some of its excellent Italian wine or craft cocktail options! Mikado Japanese Steakhouse - a truly amazing hibachi venue unique to the Marriott Orlando World Center as no other Resort in the region offers an on-site hibachi venue! I highly recommend Mikado, as it has some of the best Hibachi that you will ever find! All-in-all, with such vast dining options, you will never go hungry during a stay at the Marriott Orlando World Center! To sum up this rather lengthy, the Marriott Orlando World Center is a truly wonderful property that continues to shine and impress more and more with each stay! The Marriott Orlando World Center is in a prime location within the heart of the Orlando Theme Park Region and it offers stellar service and amenities! This property truly is an excellent option not to miss out on for your next visit to the Orlando Theme Park Region!!! Read less

Stayed there for a conference, got a room on 4th floor right above the reception, there was constant noise either from the front entrance where music played 24/7 so loud it feels like a radio was tuned on in the room or from the bar in the hall. Everything was way overpriced, fx. 2 bananas (yes the yellow fruit) $6.39. The rooms are okay, but… Read more

I stayed here at a v large conference. Was based in the East tower (easily the most convenient location for conference facilities). As I have now stayed here a few times, some generic comments: 1. In the east tower, if you face the "entrance", the rooms tend to be noisy from the generators and do not have a pleasant smell. 2. This hotel really feels like a large 3 star, given a four star because of its size and facilities. It isn't particularly nice. It is a factory. 3. The pantry is useful although it gets boring quickly! 4. Breakfast, they bought me the wrong omelette order, which contained bacon when I don't eat meat. The manager came, took responsibility and comped the breakfast, but it is pretty rubbish anyway. 5. I don't particularly like the breakfast there, it is nothing special but is functional. 6. I suppose there is an attraction in the water park (didn't use) if staying with families and the pool area is quite big. 7. Do not expect any luxury feel whatsoever. It is a large factory. Read less

It was a beautiful place. And the people there were great. BUT, early in our stay my 5 year old daughter was showing her grandmother how neatly she put away her clothes by opening the drawers on the dresser. She wasn't climbing on it or using it in ANY incorrect way. The entire dresser tipped forward pinning her under the dresser and the large sheet of glass that was on top of it. Fortunately, my daughter is ok. My Mother in Law who witnessed it and was not strong enough to lift the dresser off of her is still traumatized by the event. We had booked 2 rooms for our stay and I was hoping for them to compensate me for one of the 2 rooms and give me some bonvoy points so we could make different memories for our kids at another place. No such luck. I was offered the equivalent of a few hundred dollars in points. I've written the hotel several times, as well as hotel leadership, and been told to deal with "claims" and the claims people just want me to take the points and sign the waiver. It's sad because what was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for my family is scarred by this event and I am angry with Marriott. They don't care about our experience. I had also asked for some reassurance that they would check the other rooms to make sure the other dressers were affixed to the walls properly and I haven't heard about that either. Ultimately, I'll just post this, with the picture where you can see THE HARDWARE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE USED TO MAKE THE DRESSER SAFE affixed to the back of it with tape, and hope that maybe someone won't stay there because if something does go wrong, they won't stand by their product and make things right. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Overpriced nonsense

Overpriced nonsense. Could barely hear at check in due to the blasting DJ. Had to fight to get the balcony room for fireworks view that we booked in July for New Year’s Eve. Coffee maker leaked right out the bottom. Didn’t get the water slides we booked specifically for. Disappointing on every level.
