I booked our trip through Priceline, like I always do. When we arrived I was shocked to find that our booking had been cancelled, but it still showed as reserved on Priceline. It turns out they use a third party (booking.com- I encourage you to look at their facebook page/comments as they do not have a good reputation ). So, this was no fault of Loews. I was able to get some assistance from one of their managers, Matthew R. Even though the hotel was booked, he was able to find me a comparable room, actually a better room and charged me the rate I had on Priceline. There are other details that he helped us with, that were just above and beyond. Stellar customer service. He saved our vacation for sure!
Club level- absolutely phenomenal service. Breakfast, snack, dinner, and late night snacks. One night, they showed a movie and had popcorn for lounge guests.
The hotel smells amazing.
Quick service at Sals was so fun. We did go to the pool one day and got food and drinks from the pool bar- nachos, pizza and sweet potatoes fries were AMAZING. Transportation to the parks was a breeze, even with a stroller. “Skip the line” passes were a life saver in December. Seriously, amazing trip, hotel and manager!

I had an absolutely horrific experience at this hotel. Here’s what happened:
1. Unauthorized Credit Card Charges
The hotel charged my credit card 8 times without any authorization, totaling $6000 over 2 days. Even more shockingly, after I checked out, they charged an additional $2200! None of these charges were pre-authorized or agreed upon by me.
2. Lack of Transparency
When I requested a detailed breakdown of the charges, the hotel initially denied any knowledge of the transactions, claiming they didn’t make the charges. Only after I obtained my bank statement and showed the charges one by one did the manager admit that it was a “mistake”—my card had been assigned to another guest’s room.
3. No Explanation or Accountability
I demanded an explanation as to how the hotel could process 8 unauthorized charges totaling $6000 in just 48 hours without my consent. The manager’s response was inconsistent. First, she blamed human error. Later, she claimed it was a “system error.” Yet, they failed to provide a clear explanation or even a proper breakdown of the charges.
4. Unbelievable Behavior
When I continued to ask for answers, the manager threatened to call security to remove me from the property. She did call security in an attempt to force me to leave instead of addressing their own mistakes.
5. Police Intervention
I called 911, and when the police arrived, the manager changed her tone, claiming she was preparing a written apology and would send me the charge details. The police found the situation equally bizarre and advised me to wait for the hotel’s email response.
6. A Fake “Apology”
At nearly 11 PM, I received an email from the manager, which lacked even a single word of apology. The so-called “apology letter” included details for just one charge of $1154.70, while the other 7 charges were still unaccounted for. Without any explanation.
Conclusion:
I have never encountered such unprofessional and unethical behavior, especially from a so-called 5-star hotel. The unauthorized charges, the denial, the shifting excuses, and the complete lack of accountability are beyond unacceptable. Even worse, instead of resolving the issue, they attempted to intimidate me by calling security.
For anyone considering staying at this hotel, I strongly urge you to reconsider. This level of negligence and dishonesty is truly unprecedented. Orlando deserves better hospitality standards, and tourists deserve to be treated with fairness and respect.

She refused to help us even the guests are already on the premises ( but in the park ). Now I just hope that my friends who traveled 9,000 miles to enjoy their holiday here will be treated with some respect.

The only scaffolding we saw was near one wing/pool on the back side of the hotel, and over the front entry. Checkout was smooth and easy. Rooms were very late being ready (after 4 pm) but we were able to head to the parks on arrival so it didn’t bother our plans. Beware if you will expect or need to get into your room immediately. The rooms were large and accommodating, especially the bathroom. Our room was placed next to our friends, which was nice. The hotel is lovely, so many details. As others have said, the buildings are quite sprawling so expect a walk from elevators to your room. We used the hot tub at the Beach pool, very nice. Loved the bar nearby, hat tip to the bartender - very personable to our late evening crew! Did not eat at the restaurants, seemed interesting but pricey. Did use the Starbucks, long lines so plan accordingly. The boat transportation was easy and quick in both directions; at most waited 10 minutes maybe?
We managed a very good deal due to “renovation pricing,” and enjoyed the stay. Not sure we could afford the regular pricing but the hotel is really cool. Would stay here again.
