The hotel

At Disney’s All-Star Resorts, larger-than-life sports, music and movie icons surround the rooms as Disney's quality and unique styling is everywhere you look. All three hotels are situated close to the Theme Parks, providing a holiday home for rest and relaxation right in the heart of the action. The stage is set at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, as massive figures from your favourite Disney movies take a starring role— from the dotted pups of 101 Dalmations to the playful toys of Andy’s Room. The expansive main pool is inspired by Disney's Fantasia, but if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing - the hockey rink styled pool inspired by The Mighty Ducks film series might be your thing. And the theme continues in the food court as you find yourself in what resembles a grand movie theatre lobby with endless choices to curb your hunger. If being surrounded by Disney movies isn't enough, enjoy watching these films under the stars at night along with campfire activities for all the family to enjoy - a magical way to end the day.

The resort was very accommodating - clean & well kept. Our room was updated and very nice. The staff was very helpful. The food court is close & sells a variety of items for everyone. The bus system to the parks was never a long wait. Overall- It’s Disney!! 😊

Booked to stay a week trough Virgin Holidays, though our flights being with Delta via Atlanta out and JFK coming back, there was nothing Virgin about our trip…. 4 adults and 2 very tired kids arrived to a typical Disney welcome at an almost empty reception at around 22.30 and by the time we were checked in and had our park tickets issued, we got to our rooms in “Mighty Ducks” just gone 23.15. Didn’t get adjoining rooms as requested, far from it as the 2 rooms were in separate blocks🙈 Not the ideal start and being quite tired after a long day travelling, we just requested if poss, to be moved to adjoining rooms ASAP which happened the very next day😁 The rooms were clean and comfy, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries, a fridge and a coffee maker. Food wise, the restaurant was to canteen standards at best but with small portions at captive audience prices….. We chose to Uber food in most evenings and stocked the fridge with juice, brekkie/ snack stuff and some “beverages”. The “complimentary” bus service to the parks worked very well for us, almost every trip and defo every morning, there was good banter with complete strangers and all manner of “characters” you would expect to meet on a Disney resort bus going to a Disney Park. We managed to get in the Mighty Ducks pool a couple of times only to be told off on both occasions for throwing the kids about in an almost empty pool🤷‍♂️Rules are rules….. The hotel and grounds were very well kept and the atmosphere at any given time felt to me like it was a happy one. All staff encountered were courteous and helpful. Cost wise, don’t think it worked out any better staying here rather than renting a villa/car but it was certainly a convenient option. Read less

We frequent Disney and were excited to try the All Star Movies Resort for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. First, the room was uncomfortably hot despite the thermostat reading “68.” The AC only directed airflow in one spot, leaving the rest of the room stuffy and uncomfortable – not ideal after long park days. The worst part, however, happened on the last night of our stay. We returned to our room around 11:30 PM to find the door propped open by the in-room lock. My kids were the ones who noticed it, and they were immediately scared to go inside. We went straight to the front desk to report the incident. Instead of apologizing or addressing our safety concerns, the staff member’s response was dismissive and borderline accusatory. He implied that we must have left the door open ourselves, which was both insulting and absurd. When he checked the system, he confirmed someone had entered our room at 10 PM – an unsettling discovery since no one in our party was there at that time. He explained that hotel policy allows staff to enter rooms anytime, claiming it was likely housekeeping management. This explanation didn’t reassure us, and his attitude made things worse. An apology and genuine concern for our safety would have gone a long way, but instead, we left feeling unsafe and unwelcome. In summary, we will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this resort. We travel to Orlando frequently and stay in various hotels from luxurious resorts to simple. This was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in on Disney property. If you’re visiting Disney, spend the extra money for a deluxe resort where comfort and guest safety are taken seriously. We were there for a month. It was the most worst customer service ever. Someone left a stroller in front of the room door and I got up early morning to go get a coffee and fell over it and reported it to the front desk. They said that it was not there problem??we were at the park and called back to find the door was locked. When to front desk to find out why at 12am with two kids. It was because we didn't pay the 200.00 dollars that we didn't know and didn't get any info or call from them. No big deal lol 😆. I informed the manager at the resort desk that I needed to get to my medication ASAP I was suffering planes in my chest pains and my hand and fingers are going nome. They said they didn't care they said to me and my wife pay 200.00 and you husband can get his medication. I thought I was going to die the chest pains were so bad I could barely get walk back to the room. I took my medication and didn't get to sleep tell 5:00am . I didn't think I was going to live. This was the first time I thought I would never see my wife and kids ever again. It shows that all they care about is money 💰. All they had to do was say ok come and get your medication before you get really sick and may had the cards on her to pay it ASAP . But they really want me to have stuff a hart attack in the lobby no joke. I just need to get my medication to stop it and they said NO. Very Serious issue to want a gusset to die on live on life support. Read less
