The closest hotel to the Magic Kingdom Park is the height of retro, '70s cool. The monorail enters the lobby through a 'curtain' of air to drop off and pick up. The stylish, gourmet 15th-floor California Grill restaurant offers incredible bird's-eye views over the Magic Kingdom Park (perfect for the evening fireworks), or you can meet your favourite characters in Chef Mickey's Restaurant. If you're not at the park during the day, there's a big swimming pool, tennis courts and even the option of renting a boat and cruising around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon - and come the end of the day, tired parents can revive themselves in the cocktail lounge.

Hadn't stayed at this hotel since the 1970's when I was a kid. We took our Granddaughter and were extremely impressed with pretty much everything except the service at the quick serve restaurant next to the bar and the pool snack bar. I use the term "quick serve" very loosely. On each occasion that we ordered at these establishments the wait time was excessive to receive our food. There were plenty of workers in each kitchen but there seemed to be no teamwork or assistance provided to one another, it's as if each person was oblivious or unwilling to assist the other to service the customer in a more expedited fashion.
Otherwise - the hotel was amazing, the room was spotless, there was plenty of storage space, the room had all the amenities we would want, ample outlets, USB's, etc... The proximity to Magic Kingdom was great, the viewing of the fireworks from the California Grill balcony was amazing, the pool with small waterslide was fun for a 6 year old, the holiday decor was nice. Check in and out was efficient, housekeeping was on top of things, the elevators came quickly and overall - we were extremely pleased and we will be staying agin.

Nice hotel.

I stayed here for one night. With online check in I didn’t really encounter any staff members. The rooms are very clean and look remodeled. The views from the room are pretty great. You can get on the monorail from inside the hotel. There are also places to eat inside.
Park View suite was well worth the money.

Me and my family of 5 loved the hotel. The Park view giving us access to see the fireworks from our balcony every night was well worth the money. Quick and easy access to the parks. Easy access parking. Not too far. Coffee downstairs was mid. But all in all an amazing time was had. Just wish there were more accommodations for character sitings…

Great location with modern amenities

We were early but our room was ready within 10 minutes. We stayed on the 14th floor in a Club Level one-bedroom suite. The room was enormous with a large living and dining space. There was a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. The bedroom had two queen beds with ample storage space and a large bathroom. There was a second full bathroom off the foyer as you walked in. The balcony ran the length of the room and was nicely furnished. We had a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom and could watch the fireworks every night.
The lounge was directly up the hall and they were constantly serving food and beverages. It was very convenient.
There are several restaurants in the hotel. You can also catch the monorail on the 4th floor to go up to MK or one of the other resorts en route. The food at the restaurant is good but not great. But it’s definitely passable and very convenient right in the hotel. There are also some cool shops where you can get Disney-licensed merchandise.
Some people have mentioned that the Disney theming is lacking and I’d agree with that, but that didn’t bother us in the least. The look was modern and sleek and definitely felt “contemporary.”
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again for the prime location, proximity to the monorail and buses, along with great service and a terrific suite that gave the three of us plenty of space and privacy.

I asked her if there was a separate parking lot for the Garden Wing. She had no clue. I said well get someone who does because I am not walking all that way if there is. Garden Wing looks like a cheap Motel 6. Old and dingy on the outside. Incredibles rooms are drab, dull, boring and small. We were on the 3rd floor and still could not see the light parade on the water because of all of the trees. I guess they only cater to the filthy rich. The food at the Contempo Cafe was aweful and cold. Would not refund or give me a new meal. The monorail is disgusting and looks like it is never cleaned. For the outrageous, ridiculous amount of money you charge, shame on you! Shame on Disney.
