This place is the Mecca, the pinnacle, the high bar, or as my teen and pre-teen would call it, “The Shiz”. The Villas at Grand Floridian is officially the resort I will stalk reservations to try and get from now on because EVERYTHING about this place (ambiance, room, decor, service, location, in room bathrobes) is the Disney dream. We just finished a split stay between here, the Beach Club, the Boardwalk and Kidani Village and our group was unanimous in choosing this as our first pick. No, the pool doesn’t beat Beach Club’s, but our two bedroom villa and the service and ambiance we experienced here made that category a moot point for us. The walkway to Magic Kingdom is a lovely way to start the day and you’ll never struggle to find a staff member eager to help you (or simply welcome you home). Definitely make sure you have a charging block for your devices because our 2 bedroom villa only had one USB port, but it’s a small deficiency when you look at the big picture. If you’re on the fence about the villas, hurl yourself over it. You won’t be sorry.

As all Disney World villas, our 1 bedroom unit was scrupulesly clean and beautifully appointed. The kitchen appliances were top of the line and the provided kitchen ware everything you could expect. We had a lake view unit on the 5th floor and enjoyed views from our balcony. Appreciated were the two bathroom sinks/vanities available in two different locations. The shower is huge and Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Lotion and Mouth Wash were all supplied.
Though it was just my husand and myself, the living room would provide sleeping space for 3 other people, with a pull down Murphy bed and a single bed that pulls down under the TV. The separate building for the Villas was also appreciated. The lobby is beautiful, especially the amazing 6 story light fixtures and the beautiful fountain. Rooms are easily reached from the elevator, especially compared to the very long walks experienced when staying in Villas at the Boardwalk.
Concierge service was always available and the Villa lobby stays calm and serene compared to the lobby of the main Grand Floridian building. Handy monorail service from the main lobby, as well as Disney bus service and boat service from the dock. The dock at the Grand Floridian is the perfect place to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. You can hear all the music as well as seeing the fireworks.

DVC villas grand Floridian
Jul 31, 2024405kathleenaBroadview Heights, Ohio
The Grand Floridian is an optimal place to stay if you are visiting the Magic Kingdom, but these villas are disappointing. They sleep 5 and I can’t imagine a family being comfortable in this small space. Only one working dresser drawer, no night stand on the one side of the bed make this DVC room a one and for us.
Wonderful Stay!

We stayed here again as part of our DVC booking, the property doesn't disappoint, it's a great place to holiday.

We were there for our wedding in Disneys Wedding Pavilion (which is amazing as a venue!). The rooms are fresh, clean and tidy and look like brand new, the one bedroom villa that we chose was big enough for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children), we had a super king sized bed, a double Murphy bed and a single Murphy bed too.
You can use all amenities across the resort, although we tensed to stay round the pool with the slide. Shout out to Barry and the pool bar team who were great every day.
We made the right decision making this our home resort!

We went for Christmas. We had a large family trip and this was the only time that worked for our school and work schedules. The villas were very quiet and peaceful even during this super busy time. The resort was quieter from 12/22-12/24. It looks like more guests arrive for the week between Christmas and New Years. It got very busy on the 26, 27, 28. The resort is extremely clean and upkept. The only difficulty was the Villas front desk staff. They had an attitude of "not my problem" even though they were fully in charge of booking rooms. We stayed in two different levels, a deluxe studio for 3 nights and then a 2-bedroom for the remaining 7 days of our stay when additional family members joined us. They gave us the worst room for our studio stay. It was much smaller than the other studios and was supposed to be lakeview (which costs more), which you could only see if you strained your neck. It was also located on the 1st floor. It was not the nice room we envisioned. I don't know that I would ever spend more for a better view given what they booked us in. Then for the 2-bedroom stay, they again tried to place us in the worst room in the building. I refused and said we would wait for another room to become available... They gave me a lot of attitude, said they could not accommodate, that nothing else was available... yet miraculously they found 2 other room options within 5 minutes. This was our first stay at the villas at DVC members, I did not expect that on a welcome home visit, they would try to stick us in the very worst rooms. It was incredibly disappointing. When you spend over $40,000 on DVC you don't expect to get the bottom of the barrel at a deluxe resort.
