The hotel

In the Maldivian language of Dhivehi, ‘Lobi’ means love and ‘Gili’ means island, so therefore Lobigili is, in essence, the island of love. If you’re looking for a romantic trip for two, this is it. This indulgent plan also includes a complimentary sunset fishing trip and a guided snorkelling trip, so you’ll get to see the best of the island and it’s surroundings after that relax with the included spa treatments. Located on the island of Lobigili, just 15 minutes North West of Male International Airport by boat.

68 stylishly designed villas, all with air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, complimentary mini-bar replenished daily, robe and slippers, hairdryer, flat-screen LCD TV, in-room safe, separate bath tub and rain shower, and complimentary WiFi access. All villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping 2 adults.

SunNest Beach Pool Villas feature an open air bathroom, cosy veranda, walk-in wardrobe, and a private pool just steps from the beach.

Please note: all rooms have a minimum occupancy of 2 people. Single occupancy is not accepted.

All Inclusive - The Lobi Plan: includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner served at Ylang-Ylang. Selection of freshly prepared local snacks served between 4:00-6:00pm at The Swing Bar. One a la carte fine dining experience per guest per each four nights stayed at Only BLU (pre-booking required, subject to availability). One dining experience per guest per each four nights stayed at Gaadiya 17 Food Truck. Unlimited orders from a wide selection of liquor and premium wines at Ylang Ylang and The Swing Bar, and unlimited orders of signature cocktails from a selected list at The Swing Bar. Soft drinks, mineralised water, and an assortment of tea and coffee available at all outlets. Complimentary use of snorkelling equipment throughout the stay. Complimentary selection of non-motorised water sports. One complimentary sunset fishing trip per guest per stay (weather permitting). One complimentary snorkelling guide trip per guest per stay (weather permitting). In-villa minibar replenished daily with an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with a selection of snacks. Unlimited access to the over water gymnasium. Nest Water Villas are situated over the ocean with direct lagoon access, an outdoor shower, and a private overwater hammock.

SunNest Water Pool Villas are similar to the Water Villas, with the addition of a private infinity pool.

The food really was as good as the photos that you see. We did feel tge staff in Underwater Only Blu could have been friendlier but this is nit picking. It was very quiet as not at full occupancy being just before Christmas. Recommend the little beach area near to the spa opposite the tennis court as there is coral and fish to be seen snorkeling in there, ideal spot for beginners to gain confidence. Everything was absolutely perfect! The moment we arrived at the airport, we were greeted by a hotel rep and after a short (20min) wait we were escorted to the boat for a trip of only 15min. The staff provided refreshing towels, mini chocolate bar and drinking water. As soon as we arrived at the resort we were greeted by our island hostess Maryem. She was absolutely perfect throughout our stay and was always there when we needed her. Our villa (sunset water nest with pool) was gorgeous. The hotel provided life vests, flippers and snorkelling gear and we could snorkel around the reef that was right in front us. We were able to see many amazing species like different types of fish, Black tip reef sharks (one of them was really friendly and came to "dance" with me), White tip reef shark, Black Moray eel and to top it all off a Turtle! Most of the corals were bleached but I learned this very common for all the Maldives. The sunset and snorkelling trips were exciting. The cleanliness of the resort and the villa was impeccable. Many thanks to Khet from housekeeping for looking out for every detail in our villa. There was a mini fridge with water, two types of beer, wine and soft drinks and also some nuts and a dried beetroot snack that were replenished daily for free. Khet and Maryem even arranged for a romantic surprise with a cake, gifts, decoration and a rose bubble bath for our anniversary. It left us breathless! The food was tasty and there was a wide selection of options for all meals and drinks. The underwater restaurant is a must see. We also ordered the floating breakfast for a different experience. We would also like to express our gratitude to Sumeda who made our last dinner at the Ylang Ylang restaurant truly special. What impressed us was the genuinely polite and friendly service of all staff members and the fact that the resort is very eco oriented by using solar power, electric buggies and they are making all the drinking water by purifying ocean water. We stayed here from Nov 6-11 for 5 nights and the whole experience was magical! To start off, we were promptly picked up by a hotel representative as soon as we were out of the airport and there was a short 20 min wait before we boarded the speedboat to the island. We were greeted with cold towels, chocolates and friendly staff on the short boat ride, and the speedboat even had wifi! Once we were on the island, our hostess, Rinki - quickly onboarded us and gave us a tour of the island. Established a contact channel on whatsapp and explained everything to us as well as pencilled in an itinerary for our 5 night stay there. She was simply incredible throughout. Always there to help, and very welcoming, authentic and warm personality. In fact all the staff there were amazing. We never got “no” for an answer! The food options were unending and great (even for picky vegetarians, like us). We were able to do a range of activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling around our water villa, scuba diving (had to separately book one - but Rinki helped us with that too!) The bar staff was great as well, with an amazing choice of cocktails and wine. Our room attendant was Koti and she was really attentive, and very helpful throughout! The natural beauty around the island is something that needs to be experienced and cannot be justified by words or photos. Highly recommended! And will definitely be back again. Read less
