Where is it

Located on a private island in Raa Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 45 minutes by complimentary seaplane transfer (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

167 beach and water villas. All with LED TV, WiFi, living and dining areas, mini-bar (replenished daily), safe, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Beach Villas are 61sqm and located just steps away from the beach, with a terrace, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Raaya Plan All Inclusive includes: breakfast, lunch and dinner at RAAYA Life. Premium brands of spirits, wines, and beers. Cocktails and signature drinks. Mocktails, seasonal fresh fruit juices, soft drinks, RAAYA still and sparkling water, and a variety of tea and coffee. Champagne welcome drink on arrival. In-villa mini-bar stocked with wines, beers, soft beverages, and snacks. Full access to the fitness centre and yoga pavilion, with weekly and seasonal group activities including yoga, Pilates and strength training. Complimentary RAAYA’s secret mangrove discovery experience with guided nature walk. Complimentary wooden Dhoni building workshop (one Dhoni per stay). Complimentary snorkelling gear. One snorkelling excursion shuttle daily to selected sites nearby (on pre-registration basis, weather permitting). Complimentary use of non-motorised water sports, includes canoe, and stand-up paddle board. Complimentary excursions: sunset fishing trip and sunset cruise (per guest during the stay). Complimentary seaplane transfers. Complimentary spa treatment (eligible per person, per stay for adults - 18 years and above) from a special RAAYA Plan™ Spa Menu depending on the duration of the stay:

- 4-7 nights stay: one 45-minutes spa treatment

- 8-11 nights stay: two 45-minutes spa treatment

- 12-15 nights stay: three 45-minutes spa treatment

- 16-19 nights stay: four 45-minutes spa treatment.

Guests staying 4 nights or more will experience all three of the speciality restaurants: Ampers&nd – Bar & Restaurant, Mizaj and The Village. For each additional night enjoy one additional meal at one of the speciality restaurants, rotating among the three restaurants.

Please note: All Inclusive ceases at 11am on the day of departure.

Room upgrades

Beach Villas with Pool are 91sqm and are on the beachfront, with a private plunge pool and daybed on the terrace, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

Water Villas are 73sqm and are located on a private deck with a daybed, overwater hammock and steps down into the lagoon. Villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Water Villas with Pool are 80sqm and have a private plunge pool on the deck, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Bedroom Family Beach Villas are interconnecting villas offering plenty of living spaces, terrace with dining area, hammock, and daybeds, with 2 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

2 Bedroom Family Beach Villas with pool are also available. Spanning 232sqm, these interconnecting villas offer a spacious terrace with dining area, hammock, and daybeds, plus a 19sqm pool. With 2 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Service is exceptional. Good food with plenty of variety. Beautiful well kept beaches and surroundings. Enjoyed Raaya hub with mini golf and padel tennis. Loved that you can pick up bikes along the paths and cycle around the island. Only negative is that the resort does not accept local currency.

I have read many reviews of Raaya prior arrival, don't waste your time to go through them. It's simply a paradise. LOCATION 5* - amazing island, with fully grown jungle, lots of paths, bikes and electric transporters to help ypu navigate. 50mins by seaplane from Male, all arranged for you not to worry too much. ARRIVAL 5* - you're being greeted by hotel team, assigned your personal assistant for whole stay with Whatsapp contact to help you with all you complimentary and extra bookings. VILLAS 5* - we've spent 5 nights in beach villa with pool and then 2 nights in water villa with pool. Best decision ever to split the stay that way. You can enjoy both, your mini jungle with direct access to the ocean and amazing views of sealife straight from your deck! Mini bar replenished daily, room cleaned daily as well. One small remark just for the AC unit, it blows directly to your head and you cannot change the direction. In water villa simply turn it off and sleep with door open - no mosquitos there :) FOOD 5* - all perfectly organized, you simplu cannot be hungry or thirsty :) Several ala carte, complimentary dining options through your whole stay. No issue with free tables. PEOPLE 5* - everyone super friendly. Special thanks to Yaeesh, our guide, Sam from India and Draco from Maldives in pool team, as well as Mirim from Kirgistan in dinner section, all were very talkative and deserve a raise ;) Finally big thanks to Roham from Ampers&nd, who did not let us leave from very windy restaurant hungry (sometimes it gets windy here) and arranged whole meal delivered directly to our villa :) Read less
