We just returned from a lovely 10-night stay at Lagoon Attitude in Mauritius, and as far as all-inclusive resorts go, this has to be one of the best we’ve experienced. Food: The buffet food, while not something we would choose every night, was always fresh, hot, plentiful and offered a good variety. It was served in a clean, welcoming, and friendly environment. The resort also features three à la carte restaurants, which were all fantastic. While booking is required (and they were fully booked during our first week), we managed to visit each one once during our stay. They were definitely worth the wait: Coral: A silver-service restaurant with absolutely amazing food. Lemon Grass: An Asian inspired venue with a beautiful open kitchen, offering an intimate dining experience and superb dishes. Kot Nou: A Creole themed restaurant that was very enjoyable. TABAj: A fantastic lunch time location serving a variety of “street food” daily based on noodles, curries and BBQ. Facilities: The resort is well designed, with areas that cater to every kind of guest. There are peaceful, tranquil spots for relaxation, as well as a lively main pool with daily games and a pool/beach bar. The beaches are dotted around the complex, offering a mix of laid-back and active spaces. Everything was exceptionally clean, and sunbeds were always available, we never had to queue or struggle to find one. Weather: One thing to note is that it’s consistently windy. While the breeze is welcome in the heat, it can feel a bit much at times. That said, the hotel is thoughtfully designed, so you can easily find sheltered spots if needed. It was just windier than we expected. Rooms: The rooms are clean but quite basic. The main issue is the bathroom design, it has no door and a large window overlooking the bedroom, making it feel like part of the room. While the shower and toilet have partially frosted glass doors, the toilet door is not full length/ airtight. It wasn’t an ideal setup for us and might not suit everyone. In hindsight, we may have reconsidered booking had we known this beforehand. However, despite the room design, we are so glad we chose this hotel because everything else was truly exceptional. Staff: Every single member of staff from the moment we arrived to closing the taxi door were smiling and helpful, everyone here works super hard, but some additional thanks must be shared with; Ganshan, Ajit, Akhilesh, Vivek, Bradley, Begum, Ranveer, Sachin and his team at Tabaj! Navigating check in and check out times can always be tricky, especially when hotel schedules rarely align with flight times. When I booked the hotel a year ago, I emailed them to request an early check in and late check out. On arrival, we were fortunate to only wait an hour before getting access to our room earlier than expected. However, our experience at check out was far less smooth, despite making multiple requests. The first time I inquired prior to arrival, they advised me to speak to them upon check in. When I brought it up during check in, they said it was too early to confirm but assured me they’d note the request in their system and advised me to check back the day before departure. On the day before, we followed up again, and they promised to let us know, only to fail to provide an update. Finally, on the morning of our departure, they informed us that a late check out was not possible. This was both frustrating and disappointing, as it left us with six hours to wait before our flight. A far from ideal way to end an otherwise fantastic holiday. What made it worse was discovering that other guests leaving on the same day had managed to secure late check-outs. It was a major letdown from the reception team, but thankfully, it didn’t overshadow the rest of our wonderful stay. Summary: Staff: 11/10 – The staff go above and beyond. Food: 8/10 – While you can’t please everyone with an all inclusive menu, the à la carte restaurants are fantastic (though tough to book) 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 – Immaculate throughout. Rooms: 7/10 – This comes down to personal preference. Eco-friendliness: 10/10 – The resort’s commitment to sustainability is excellent. Reception 5/10 - Let us down on communication and consideration for our flight times. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend Lagoon Attitude! Read less

From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The gala dinner was a standout – the oyster bar and fresh prawns were an absolute highlight. The atmosphere was festive and luxurious, setting the tone for the entire stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, with tall palm trees lining both the beach and the property. It's a truly picturesque location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. Speaking of relaxation, the hotel offers an abundance of spots to unwind. Whether by the beach or pool, there were always plenty of comfortable sunbeds available. The relax pool, in particular, is ideal for escaping the wind and enjoying some peaceful moments. We also had an unforgettable experience on the sunset catamaran cruise. The staff created such a fun and vibrant atmosphere, and the music made it even more enjoyable. I would rate it a 10/10! The garden room we initially booked had a view of the tennis court, which wasn’t ideal, but we opted to upgrade to a sea view room for an additional £230, and it was definitely worth it. The view was breathtaking and enhanced the overall experience. The hotel staff really went above and beyond. Everywhere we looked, the property was spotless. Daily pool cleanings, mopping the floors, and even power-washing the patios showed their commitment to excellence. The staff also made sure we were well taken care of, with requests handled quickly and graciously. They truly wanted us to relax and enjoy our time. A special touch was added to my husband’s birthday celebration. The hotel surprised us with a birthday song, a lovely table setting, and a delicious dessert. The attention to detail was touching. We were also taken care of by wonderful staff members like Surat, the sweet barman, and Ashil, our attentive waiter who crafted bespoke cocktails for us. The Coral restaurant offered an excellent dining experience, thanks to the outstanding service from Nessan Pemal and Jonathan. Their service made each meal feel extra special. At brunch, we were serenaded by a guitarist, which was a lovely touch and created a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. We also want to mention the service from Ram, who made sure we were always well looked after. Overall, the staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly, polite, and caring. Their commitment to providing an exceptional experience was evident throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy great food, and experience excellent service, this is the perfect destination. Read less
