Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great Hotel, Excellent Housekeeping/Turndown

Great hotel - most of the staff excel and go above and beyond, it's difficult to name them as there are honestly so many including all those behind the scenes (the teams who clean the room balconies and pool areas, the gardeners, the WhatsApp team, the back of house team, etc..). Check in was quick, no welcome drink offered. Room was great, very comfortable bed, housekeeping and turndown were fabulous with the best staff who work so hard to exceed expectations of guests. A real stand out. Some areas which would really benefit from some attention. Thea(?) Duty Manager could use some training, the glares and stares from her spoke volume, all whilst staring daggers - literally if looks could kill. It’s just bad hospitality. Not a great impression for a hotel of this standard were staff are mostly so genuine and helpful. Some new staff standing by the lifts were unfortunately irritating (delaying you when trying to catch a taxi etc) and could benefit from training in judging when not to stop/engage guests especially when it's obvious they are in a hurry and this was mentioned by a few guests who didn't want to meet in reception area to avoid this so we'd have to meet elsewhere. Breakfast selection was huge and mostly good quality but wasn't a great experience - extremely long queues, very noisy and no quiet area so not relaxing to having crying babies, kids screaming etc when trying to enjoy the experience. Would benefit from a second separate area with an age restriction and there is enough space to do this. Evening dessert selection is average at best most desserts need a lot of work. A great concept but needs tweaking and fine tuning as we noticed the desserts in lounge area were superior so perhaps they have a different pastry chef? The same for breakfast pastries, they were often dry and unappetising. Sun loungers could benefit from upgrading to more comfortable 5* replacements to maintain the luxury title. The music in Tower 1 could be improved to match standard of music in Tower 2 and the speakers were too loud at times. No dryer in spa area for wet things or plastic bags to put wet things in. Guests were expected to carry wet suits through the hotel in their hands. Read less

Karthigan the room attendant always looked after us and made sure we were comfortable in our room. We stayed in a Premium Junior Suite which was immaculate. Nothing is too much trouble in this hotel & all staff are amazing & friendly. We had access also to the Club Room Lounge and the level of service in here was 10/10.

Sourav, the room attendant, provided exceptional service consistently, deserving a perfect 100/10 rating. He always greeted guests with a smile, was punctual, kept everything tidy, and was incredibly hospitable. He remembered my preferences and truly stood out. He definitely deserves a raise—thank you for hiring such an outstanding staff member!

Another fabulous stay at the Grosvenor House luxury hotel. This one was a little different as this time was a ladies trip. We were so well looked after especially by the lovely Lucia on level five, who went over and above and made this ladies trip extra special. Thank you. Not forgetting the attentive staff on level 5 who always tend to our needs. During my stay I sampled the new Siena restaurant and what a delight it was. It was such a pleasure to meet the head chef Alessandro Mirabelli. He gave the best recommendations and we decided on Beef cheek which was exquisite. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant which has a fantastic view of the marina. We tried various desserts but the parmigiana ice cream was out of this world! Cannot wait to return to this beautiful new restaurant. I would like to express my gratitude to Karthighan who kept my room perfectly and nothing was too much trouble. We visited the Buddha Bar and as usual the experience was 5 star with a member of staff even remembering me when I visited last with my husband. Thanks you to Alex at the city social for making our ladies night a special one. Although I have stayed in many hotels in Dubai, the Grosvenor House luxury hotel is by far my favourite. Cannot wait to visit again! Read less

5 ⭐️ hotel stay for our anniversary The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was perfect. We did the half board option which was well worth the extra money, you have the choice of the buffet restaurant in Grosvenor or Le Meridien or a selection of the restaurants have a half board menu or you have an allowance of 150 aed pp for food off the al a carte menus. You have access to Le Meridien beach and there is a shuttle bus to take you or a short walk. You can have lunch there at the buffet restaurant or use your allowance on the beach or at the beach bar. Thank you for the best stay we will definitely be returning! Read less
