Where do I even start? Parking. Let’s begin with that. After driving up from NJ, fighting insane traffic, I arrived at the Doubletree. After being told by the hotel valet that their parking is “first come first serve” and it didn’t matter that I had a reservation, I would need to park around the block. Because they’re full. I asked for a luggage trolly to at least bring our stuff inside before moving the car, you would have thought I asked for a million dollars. It’s a luggage cart. Be kind. I made my way to the front desk (which is a very bizarre set up and we had to fight through a crowd watching a musician) and explained the valet issue. Helaina sprung into action to help. (She is the ONLY positive about this hotel). After securing my vehicle (for $60 a night!!!! Robbery!!!!), we made our way to our rooms. I don’t have words. For $400 a night, I have a view of two parking garages and a parking lot. I have spent the last TWO HOURS listening to car alarms go off. We are on floors 4 and 5. We should literally just go sleep in my car. There is no sleeping for us tonight. Two rooms. $800 wasted. The hotel will say they have no control over this and “sorry you didn’t sleep”. But they absolutely DO NOT HONOR the “Hilton Promise” to make it right. I shouldn’t have to pay for us being awake all night and for being completely disrespected by the valet (regardless of who he works for, he represents you as the first point of contact). I’ll be having a conversation with the diamond line. I’m not paying to stay awake all night. And neither is the person traveling with me, who was assigned the room directly below me and listened to the same nonsense. ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Read less

Just wrapping up a stay here. We have been delighted by the customer service, it really is above par, it is not often that you can call a hotel directly and speak with someone. When I did, Helaina was beyond helpful. She selected perfect connecting rooms for us without us having to request top floor, quiet rooms with a view. The hotel has a great… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Unfair Practice & Deceptive Pricing @ DoubleTree Hilton Downtown Boston

Dec 4, 2024 Anand K New Delhi, India

In recent stay @ DoubleTree Hilton Downtown Boston charged $59 per night for valet parking service. I parked & retrieved my car myself, never used valet parking service & parking charge wasn't mentioned at the time of booking. Suggest all to be careful while booking Hilton #Hilton #Boston #Hotels #DoubleTree

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location gave you easy access to everything. We will stay there again. The staff we're all very eager to assist us. You couldn't have asked for a better location. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it.

Hotel is decent. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfy. Valet is $59 daily. The insane music played by club goers in the parking next door between midnight and 2am shook the building. It sounds like an outdoor concert. It is not the hotels fault but just a heads up of what you might experience staying here. There’s no way to sleep through it.
