Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

YOTEL Experience
Dec 25, 2024Christopher J
The hotel was nice and in a great location; the rooms were tight but lovely. The valet service was awful, though. The night before, we asked for our car at 10:30 a.m., which they said would be no problem. It wasn't ready, and Valet took over 55 minutes to get our car. We had already checked out and had to sit in the lobby for almost an hour.
Fun spot - dreadful food

A great concept expedited in the cheapest possible fashion. If your idea of ‘fondue’ is gooey bright orange melted Cheez Whiz/ velveta - then this is your spot. If you’re looking for an AUTHENTIC fondue experience…go ANYWHERE else. Expensive and dreadful. (Although the ski chairs were cute!)
Great Stay

Mid at best

Pros:
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There's body wash, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, and a hair dryer provided. I could see this being a decent stay for a single person on a work trip, provided you don't run into the following inconveniences I had during my weekend stay.…

I could see this being a decent stay for a single person on a work trip, provided you don't run into the following inconveniences I had during my weekend stay.
Cons;
There's little privacy in the bathroom, with it being separated by a curtain. The TV disconnected often, and would not reconnect with my phone for almost an entire day of our weekend stay. I could also only get youtube to stream when it did work; Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll did not work at all. When it did finally start working again, the video quality was awful, 240p at best, with lots of glitching and lag, and it stayed that way for the remainder of our stay. The wifi was constantly disconnecting and slow as well.
When room service came around, I said I didn't need new towels or sheets, but I had trash I wanted taken out of the room, but she left and no one ever came by to collect any of it. There was also one point where we requested silverware for food we ordered, and it took 20+ min to get it..

Hotel was fine, valet parking was a bust

The hotel itself was OK. Good price/location and I guess you’re just getting what you pay for ultimately. The valet parking that is supposed to be part of my reservation was denied and the garage was full. The valet parking been an issue both times I’ve stayed there. The hotel itself was OK. Good price/location and I guess you’re just getting what you pay for ultimately. The valet parking that is supposed to be part of my reservation was denied and the garage was full. The valet parking been an issue both times I’ve stayed there. The first time I left with my car smelling like cigarette smoke from the valet parking guys. This time they wouldn’t even help us because the parking garage is full and they completely left us high and dry after we had this booked ahead of time.
Can’t really knock the actual hotel for the third-party valet.
