This is the second time we have stayed here and love it. Conveniently located within walking distance to great shops, resturants and casinos. Beautiful views of the gondolas and scenery. This is the second time we have stayed here and love it. Conveniently located within walking distance to great shops, resturants and casinos. Beautiful views of the gondolas and scenery. There is a bar, resturant and coffee shop inside of the hotel as well. Hotel is beautifully, newly remodeled. Everything is clean and fresh with a bright, vibrant vibe. This will be our go to any time we visit. One drawback is parking. You either have to park next door in a paid lot, or pay to park at the hotel, no free parking options. Read less

My husband and I along with 2 friends booked this hotel in Lake Tahoe based on the availability to have multiple restaurants to choose from inside the hotel. We stayed Tuesday and Wednesday nights and expected to eat breakfast in the Come Monday restaurant. We found it and the sign saying it was open Wed. - Sun. for breakfast. However, it was closed. We went down to the front desk and asked about it and one person said it was open. Then another worker told us it was closed due to low occupancy. Well, that's not my fault! I booked and paid for a room at this hotel for convenience. But did not get any of the amenities due to low occupancy??? There is a huge sink but no counter space in the bathrooms and mold on the ceiling. Even though the rest of Lake Tahoe was decorated for Christmas, this hotel had 1 very small Christmas tree and that's it in the lobby. No ambiance for the holiday season. The resort fees are way too high. The pool was dirty so we did not get in it or the hot tub. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is right next to Harrah's and a short walk to the gondola. There were too many negatives at this hotel for us to stay at in the future. I do not suggest booking a room here. Read less

Location is great room clean and very spacious too. The in room drink machine is fine but doesn’t make drinks super warm being honest. Bathrooms great but there’s no shelf on which to place your own toiletries in the shower. We enjoyed our stay here and found staff to be helpful and pleasant too. Rooms aren’t serviced daily which is fine because they will respond to requests for extra towels or such on request. That on of the reasons for 4 stars as it’s probably the only slight let down. We booked last minute and would stay again, mainly because the locations good to other hotels, casino and shops etc. As other reviews point out valet parking is offered and we found this to be a negative experience as well. They didn’t take details correctly, even though we spelt our name, which meant after check in they were unable to match our name with the room to bring our bags to! Second reason for 4 star review, more haste less speed. The only very negative thing I have to say is that given it was December there was a distinct lack of Christmas decorations in the hotel at all, which was a shame as the surrounding area was so beautifully decorated outside. Not what we're used to nowadays. The hotel has been renovated, not sure if my room was standard or if it was a suite, but it was super spacious. The housekeeping were efficient, I found my room neat and clean everyday. The front desk people always available. They have a little gift shop/coffee shop/convenience store, which is super convenient and there again the lady working at the counter were really nice and easy to strike a conversation with. No exception with the bartender, I actually found myself getting a cocktail at night and ordering another one just because it was so fun to listen to his stories! I had most services delivered by the valet team, as it is the only option to park directly at the hotel, I believe there is another parking nearby, but for almost the same price and not covered, so why not letting them take care of it for me? Here again, they were all super nice and easy to speak with and get recommendations about local shops and food options. Not sure if this is the air of South Lake Tahoe or the Margaritaville vibes, but I will come again. Read less

We spent 3 nights at the Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe mid-November. I wasn’t sure what to expect as the reviews were terrible under the previous ownership. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised! The rooms were very clean and well appointed, each one is a suite with bedroom, bathroom, small “kitchen” area with coffee maker and fridge and a decent sized living room. The unit has 2 TV’s and a safe and was cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. The rest of the hotel was basically a vast atrium with streams and ponds with multiple-colored flowers, like outdoors, but indoors. We enjoyed drinks at the “license to Chill” bar and listened to the nightly entertainment. I would say that this will be our Go-To place to stay for future visits, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location cannot be beat! Read less
