Our family had an excellent stay over Thanksgiving weekend. We had 4 rooms and very large party of 15 for our family reunion. The staff service was excellent and they did a great job accommodating all of us to stay as close together as we can with rooms including the Regency and Studio Suites. Communication was great as we touch based with Nick (Operations Director), who helped set us up with all of the Front Office Managers, including Julie to make our stay special. The suites/rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfect for our large party. Several of us were celebrating birthdays and they even gave us a birthday cake with sparkling cider to make it special. Due to our globalist status, we were able to get complimentary breakfast with either a buffet or a la carte orders at the Market.
The location is great as it was easy to walk to so many dining places and a shopping mall right across the street. It's also close to the Long Beach Aquarium. We enjoyed the Swan Boat rental ride (also complimentary) just around the lagoon by the hotel.
Overall it was a wonderful stay and we plan to come back again during the summer!

From the moment I arrived, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, i.e. the valet team, the bellmen, the front desk, the cooks in the Market Bar, and everyone else. I was particularly impressed by when I mentioned our situation, they were concerned and offered a discount and more important were sincerely warm and caring. Words can’t express how good this treatment felt and how rejuvenating our stay was.

Awesome!

As expected from Hyatt, it was excellent in a perfect location. Numerous dining options and bars within a short walk. Parking is not too difficult like the rest of LA. Staff was extremely helpful - I mean everyone! Awesome and convenient, I will be staying here again.
Not worth the money unless you're going for the convention center.

A very "fine, I guess," experience. The room is fine, check-in and check-out went smoothly (sort of - more on that later). But it's just not a great value for the money. The rooms are pretty small, and even for double beds it's quite expensive. The amenities are pretty meager offerings - you get a big TV, sure, but the coffee maker is very poorly stocked if you happen to have more than one person in your party who likes a hot drink, and the cooler in the room technically can't be called a fridge, so you're taking a gamble if you want to leave your leftovers there. There are no complimentary offerings of food or drink in the lobby, just vending machines and expensive (and mediocre) cafe/restaurant/bar faire. The bar staff was attentive, at least.
We also had an issue with check-in/check-out where we asked to split the bill between two cards and were told both before and during our stay that they could do so - but they ended up just charging everything to one card anyway. Annoying.
The hotel is clean, it's fine, it's serviceable, but it's so expensive. You're paying a hell of a lot for an okay view and, in our case, direct access to the convention center. But there are a lot of hotels in the area, and I can imagine most vacationers will have other things they want to spend that extra money on.

Hyatt Long Beach

The rooms were nice and clean and had great views. They had a great selection of food downstairs at the marketplace, we had pancakes and a breakfast sandwich and both were very good and you got a good amount four price. They also had lots of snacks and beverages to choose from.
