You couldn't stay any closer to Disneyland Resort California without being in Sleeping Beauty's castle! Right in the heart of the action, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel is the perfect base to explore all of the parks - you even have your own private entrance to Disney California Adventure Park. The hotel has an American Craftsman style that gives it a warm and cosy feel, especially when you're curled up by the fire with a drink in the Hearthstone Lounge at the end of an action packed day in the parks. If you're in the mood for a relaxing day, rent a poolside cabana and soak up the Californian sun, a server will be on hand to tend to all your food and drink needs. And when evening comes, pop across to Downtown Disney and catch a show or some live music, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Decorated with California-inspired artwork and textured copper detailing, all rooms feature a patio or balcony, air-conditioning, 55” smart TV, bathroom amenities, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, bath robes, complimentary WiFi access, and in-room safe. Standard Rooms with views of Disneyland Drive, rooftop or parking area, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, plus a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 5 adults.

The rooms were clean & well appointed.The beds were comfy. Our room had a balcony, so we could check out the monorail and beautiful courtyard. We were on the 5th floor. I really appreciate the little things and wow, housekeeping really delivered. Each evening we would come back to a spotless room.Treats and a beautiful little card on our pillows. Thank you to Lupita and all the other ladies who made our room extra special each day. I am from the Pacific Northwest, so the decor and feel of the hotel was right up my alley. The beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the hotel and the attention to detail were wonderful.It was the perfect time of year to visit. We did the Mickey's Holiday Pajama Party & Brunch.What fun for all of us! Great choice for brunch.One nite we canceled a reservation in DCA and chose GCH Craftsman Bar.We were tired and just wanted something close and quick.We also did Craftsman Grill one nite.Service and food were terrific in both spots. On our last day we ordered room service for breakfast.What a beautiful meal.The presentation & food were so worth it. The hotel was very busy with everyone checking out the lobby area for the Holidays. Santa was there and an amazing Gingerbread House as well.There were amazing treats and beverages available in the lobby.I made sure we tried the gingerbread man cookies that I had read so much about.They were definitely worth the hype!!! Going to Disneyland with a five year old was a whole different experience.We had four children. I did not take any of them until they were at least 7 or 8. We would go once a year, if we were lucky.We definitely never stayed at a Disney property when they were young. I will say, staying at the GCH was such a smart choice for this trip. We often came back to the room and would swim, take a break,or rest.No shuttle or Ubers necessary to take back to a hotel. I imagined myself reading Andrew his Disney Christmas book down by the grand fireplace, but after a long day, we would get back to the room and just crash. We did not do parades or fireworks this trip.We went to DCA more than DL.My grandson and his Mom walked out of HM. Pirates and Indiana Jones were not on the agenda,and I was absolutely fine with that! I went on Buzz Lightyear multiple times as well as Little Mermaid and Inside Out ride! We had the best time... In conclusion, I just wanted to say thank you to all the CM's You will never know how much joy you all bring to us,especially a little 5 year old boy. Thanks to the staff at the GCH.You are amazing! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite facing the pool. While it was a lovely view and the beds were very comfortable, the rooms are beginning to show their age. They look like they haven’t changed since we stayed there 10 years ago. We loved the shower and the spaciousness of the suite. Definitely plenty of room for our family of 6. Lots of toiletries to use including a dental kit, loofah & wall mounted shampoo, body wash & conditioner. The cons of this hotel is that it’s way too busy and it’s tough to snag a reservation at the onsite restaurants without advanced planning. There was rarely a place to sit in the lobby and it was quite noisy. Our kids did enjoy the bedtime story & pictures with Santa, but it was challenging to hear him due to the acoustics of the lobby. We were disappointed to learn that even as registered hotel guests spending $2k a night on our suite, that we couldn’t take our Disney rental stroller into the hotel. We wanted to take a short break in our room and return to the parks after we let our kids rest. They made us park it outside the metal detectors. When we returned to retrieve it an hour and a half later, it was gone! There was no offer by the staff to bring us another stroller so we had to walk all the way back to the stroller rental kiosk in front of Disneyland to get a replacement. What a huge inconvenience and we barely made our lightning lane reservation at DCA. This was a very lackluster hotel guest experience that Disney needs to improve upon and it completely negated the perk of us using the hotel guest entrance into DCA. The housekeeping, bellmen and room service staff are quite exceptional, but in the future, I think we will opt for the Presidential suite over at the Westin, because there just aren’t enough luxury perks offered for the price of the suite. This resort is absolutely everything you could hope for an more! The aesthetic is stunning, the service impeccable. The choice of restaurants coupled with the beautiful pool makes this the ideal place for a short break while visiting the parks. We will be back for certain.

What can I say, in an area surrounded by motels, a hotel was a welcomed treat. The cost is astronomical for what you get. The rooms are by no means luxurious although spacious enough to spend time in comfortably. The water in the shower never got hot in the morning, just warm. The towels are 3 star hotel towels. You do get robes and slippers. They have coffee in the room via a keureg machine. What was 5 star, and what will bring me back again, aside from it's location, was the service. The staff is well trained and so pleasant. They could not tell if we were guests or visitors, and the attitude was the same. I really appreciate that. They have turn down service and they are happy to load you up with all the hot cocoa and coffee pods you could ever want and sweet bites of chocolate. A nice touch. The various desks (bell, valet, registration) all treated us with such kindness and service, really kudos to the management. I haven't had service like that since Asia. The pools are a hit. Warm enough to swim in November, with plenty of life vests for the toddlers to wear while going down the baby slide. Lots of Disney to watch on TV should your kids have access to it. Of course the reason to be here is location. It was really convenient to stroll back to the hotel for a nap with the little ones. Made the day less hectic. I'll be back. Read less

Influencers tell everyone at parks to go take a nap in the lobby of this hotel - and Disney encourages this. Don’t stay here - stay at Disneyland Hotel or Pixar Pier. They are not over run by Park guests sitting in every hallway chair and making a bunch of noise - and sleeping on couches and in all Che chairs by the fireplace. This hotel has completely lost control. It’s so loud you can hear all the noise in the rooms. Worst hotel we have stayed in for a very long time. Read less
