Great location with many excellent restaurants in very close proximity. Convenient to Redondo Beach (the sand), bike path which runs along the beach, and the Redondo Beach Pier. The food at the "on-site" restaurant, Baleen, was top notch with good views over the King's Harbor Marina.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Portofino in Redondo Beach and can't recommend it more. Unfortunately due to the fires, we had to evacuate our home and the hotel went above and beyond to make us (and all the guests) feel incredibly welcomed. Even without these circumstances, we would come back here in an instant. The room is spacious with comforters you want to stay in for days and lovely amenities in the room. The restaurant Baleen offers wonderful food options across the street (shoutout to Heidi there for her recommendations). Thank you to Mac in the valet group and Shawntee at the front desk for making our stay so easy. This is a must stay hotel when you are in the area. Read less

My fiancé and I evacuated from the LA fires and this hotel, Gregory specifically, was truly the sunshine of our entire week. Gregory was friendly, beyond helpful, empathetic and just the best energy to be around. We will be coming back in no time 🫶🏼

Had to evacuate due to the LA fires late at night and was scrambling to find a place to stay. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and accommodating and helped find me a room last minute. As soon as I arrived and heard sea lions barking nearby, I immediately felt at ease after a stressful night. The room was clean and cozy with a lovely patio overlooking the marina. And the beds were insanely comfortable (fully credit them with the good nights sleep I got despite everything going on). When I left my room in the morning, I was greeted by an unmatched view of the pacific ocean through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the charming lobby lounge. I could have stood there ogling at the waves all day. And there was a very generous coffee spread they specially arranged as so many guests had also evacuated. While my stay was brief, I was absolutely blown away by the level of service, kindness and compassion every staff member I encountered provided, and I can't wait to return for a proper staycation and explore the rest of their enticing amenities and activities.
