As sleek and understated as it appears from its spot on LA’s legendary Sunset Boulevard, the Andaz West Hollywood is actually a prime slab of Rock ‘n’ Roll history that dates back to 1963. Over the years the likes of The Who’s Keith Moon and The Stones’ Keith Richards have sent TVs flying off the (now enclosed) balconies, while Led Zep drummer John Bonham reportedly rode a motorbike up and down the corridors. Thoroughly renovated for the 21st century the Andaz relishes its history, but these days the musical motifs complement the minimally chic décor in boutique-style rooms rather than run rampant. Indeed, there’s a friendly, unpretentious welcome here that extends from the hotel’s enticing eateries to its breathtaking rooftop pool (where, incidentally, Spinal Tap’s end of tour party was filmed). Rock. And. Roll.

Great Hotel in Beverly Hills

Very nice hotel in Beverly Hills. Kind of cool that it's next to the Comedy Store. The staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have a nice gym as well. Leaving an extra sentence because it's required to be 200 characters minimum.

Great hotel with an excellent location bang on the sunset avenue next to comedy club. The rooms were spacious with floor to ceiling windows and the beds were comfortable. Shoutout to Kaitlyn at the front desk for assisting us with everything from tours to luggage.

Clean comfortable bed, tiny shower room but adequate. Quite dark corridors. No coffee maker in the room. Supposed to be free coffee at reception. But it was working just once during our stay. We did then have to buy from the coffee shop area. They do have free snacks, which is handy. Breakfast was included, which was good & served with a smile. You can pick from the set menu , hot drink, juice, & hot breakfast.... Not sure if I'd pay $95 for breakfast for 2 though, we had a deal with our stay so lucky was included. Next door to the comedy store. A mile or so to the Rainbow Bar & grill which was great. Also Saddle Ranch chop house was very good, great food & just a few steps away.

This hotel is in a good spot and tour buses depart from the comedy club next door so really handy. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are water and ice stations on every floor which is a plus. There is a great restaurant a few doors down from the hotel with a good menu and well cooked food. This restaurant also has a bucking broncho which is hilarious. The restaurant in the hotel itself is all short serve stuff. The staff are nice. There is a pool and a roof bar on top which is great, but not always available to hotel guests as some corporate events take place there. My main beef was that we were told on arrival that we could have free tea and coffee 24/7 by reception. I was later told that I was misinformed and that there was only coffee. Getting a teabag was like the holy grail with the cafe complaining that they never got reimbursed for teabags they gave to guests. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms which is a major negative.

Booked a suite, but the suite doesn’t come with a sofa bed…despite the massive space it has.
There was moldy smell in the air, wall showing multiple water leakage issue, and stained carpet showing large area of previous water damage.
The room should not have been made available to any guests until at least the carpet has been replaced, let alone…
