Fantastic resort and better people

My stay at the hotel was terrific. The staff was fantastic, and staff was always helpful with any requests that I had. The aesthetics were very festive I would suggest staying here if you want to stay at a wonderful place near all the amenities that Napa has to offer.

Just checked into a former favorite and extremely disappointed. Rooms have been renovated with low class furnishings, lobby is closed and the vibe is not good. Will look for another hotel in the morning. We’re lifetime honors members and the hotel is not up to standards

Found this out when one of the maids aggressively knocked on our door (I was in the bathroom) and asked if we knew when check out was. Even if the check-in staff had logged this incorrectly, maybe call the room first or coordinate among each other? The front receptionist was very defensive and just blamed it on the check in staff about the wrong time. Attitude is like the shrug emoji here. A very unpleasant way to end a stay. Go somewhere else because it seems staff clearly cannot handle issues/complaints.

1) The sliding window in the bedroom did not close properly. Our room backed up to the back parking lot and Highway 29, which means we heard cars coming and going all night long. I didn't realize the window didn't close properly until we were getting ready for bed; otherwise, I would have called maintenance. The same sliding window is in the bathroom and worked fine, so I'm certain the bedroom window has an issue.
2) The hotel fails to mention on their website that a major construction project is active and your stay may be affected. We brought our swimsuits and pool stuff, because we had planned to use the pool. The pool is closed. The middle section of the hotel is closed, so you need to walk across the parking lot to get to the restaurant and fitness room. When we were walking to breakfast there was a forklift carrying construction materials in a narrow area of the parking lot with no sidewalk.
The hotel will be awesome once it's finished but the hotel should definitely let guests know on the website that such a big construction project is going on.
