I live in San Diego but this is my first time staying at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. We stayed for one night and overall, I had a great experience. We went during the holidays and loved that they had an event that served hot chocolate and cider. The lobby was all decked out in decorations and overall gave a very San Diego feeling. Check in went very smoothly thanks to Iago at the front desk! Parking: Self-parking and valet are both $50, which is pretty steep. There’s street parking but you can’t park between 2am-4am daily and you can see on the sign that a parking ticket is $52. The valet employees were very friendly and we never had to wait too long for the car. Rooms: I booked a 2-queen balcony room in the Tower building and I loooved our view of the harbor, Sea World, and the sunset. Our bed was comfortable and each bed came with 4 pillows. The rooms could use an upgrade. I appreciated the Keurig, full body mirror, and spacious bathroom. In terms of noise, there was a loud, continuous sound coming from the bathroom above, it felt like the walls were rattling. Also, even on the 15th floor, you can hear the sea lions in the morning through the closed balcony doors. My aunt got upgraded to the penthouse on the 18th floor in the Tower building and her view was amazing! It was almost a wrap around patio with outside furniture where you can enjoy watching the sunset. We ordered take out from the Red Marlin restaurant and just enjoyed the patio. The food from restaurant was just okay. Amenities: We unfortunately didn’t get to utilize the amenities but they have a large pool with waterslides, spa, and a gym. I saw that you can also rent out paddle boards and kayaks. Overall: Parking price is pretty steep. Walls are thin. But if you’re looking for a chill, non-fancy getaway in San Diego with a view and that’s close to SeaWorld, I’d consider checking this place out. Read less

We had a staycation at the Hyatt Mission Bay since we were attending a wedding there. It was such a beautiful venue and had the best service. We had the pleasure of meeting Ian during the reception. He is an asset to Hyatt with his genuine desire to help, professionalism and exceptional service he and his team provided to our family. The food was delicious and the staff from all levels were attentive and helpful throughout the reception. When we checked into our room, Madi was so helpful and friendly. She was able to accomodate our request and we had an amazing room with such beautiful views. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for a hotel in San Diego to stay at the Hyatt. It's a beautiful property and location with the best service. Read less

Best in class service. Nothing beats Hyatt and this place doesn’t disappoint. Finding a good place anywhere in California is a blessing in disguise. The food is great and location is great too. They don’t have lounge access for globalist members but the red lobster hotel for breakfast and lunch is great too.

This resort just gets it. Excellent customer service, great food and drinks at the Red Marlin and beautiful views from every window. Pick the marina side...you wont regret it. Every single staff member we encountered was top notch. THis is our go to place to stay every time we come to San Diego.
