The hotel

Just steps away from the white sands and surfboards of Southern California, the Seabird Resort is a coastal estate in which you can relax, eat and drink, and get pampered to your hearts content. The hotel offers a beach concierge service with chairs, umbrellas and other essential supplies for you. The standard rooms are spacious, plenty of which offer ocean views - but if you're travelling as a larger group then the suites offer expansive balconies, large soaking tubs, and that extra bit of luxury for your stay. At the Shore Room you'll find iconic views, ocean delicacies, and craft cocktails - often accompanied by live acoustic music sets on 'Sparkling Sundays'. Sunny's Spa and and Beauty Lounge is on hand, whatever treatment you may be after, or relaxing on the chaise lounges around the pool could be enough for you! The hotel is next door to the sister resort, Mission Pacific Hotel, which offers a rooftop bar with live DJ sessions if you're looking for a more lively evening out.

I recently stayed at the Seabird Resortand unfortunately, my stay started off on the wrong foot. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room with a non-functioning door. I had to wait in the hallway for more than 15 minutes before someone finally came to inform me that I needed to go back downstairs to check-in again. After the inconvenience of waiting and rechecking in, I was told that the initial room was not functional and was given another room. However, this time I was given a standard king-size bed room instead of the oceanfront suite that I had booked. The front desk did not mention this downgrade at the time of check-in. I had to call the front desk and show proof of my reservation before they finally gave me the oceanfront suite I had reserved. This whole process was frustrating and not a good check-in experience at all. **Room**: Once I finally got to my reserved room, it was as expected—clean and comfortable with a great view. **Overall Experience**: Despite the room being pleasant, the initial check-in process left a sour taste. I hope the hotel improves their check-in procedures to avoid such inconveniences for future guests. Read less

The room is very spacious, beautiful amenities, very cozy room. My husband and I had amazing time we will definitely come back. Tips: Parking the car, instead of vallet we park at the lot B, it's the front of the Mission Pacific hotel, it's $5 every 24hr starts at 12 am so at 12 am we went down to pay for Parking which was not a problem for us. Amazing hotel stay. The beach view from my room was just beautiful and relaxing outside in our balcony was a plus. The unique added library and play room and extra kid/family activities were perfect and one of a kind. great central spot to everything. A must return.
