The hotel

Combining old world graciousness with contemporary style, The Kimpton Brice Hotel is an establishment any modern-day southern belle would be proud to grace with her presence. Rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with armoires and floor. There’s complimentary tea and coffee served in the morning and a hosted wine hour early evening – a great way to meet fellow guests and pick up a few sightseeing tips. There are restaurants aplenty to choose from close by but Pacci Italian Kitchen & Bar is very inviting with the atmosphere of a rustic country farmhouse. This was my first stay in a Kimpton property, and honestly, I expected more. While the room was spacious and had a large TV, this was the first IHG property over the years where I did not have complimentary water, nor a coffee maker - the latter I managed to arrange for by requesting one. The telephone did not work. Our room was not made up or the trash taken out for the entire stay (I was informed later that it was only by request.) This is a pet friendly hotel, so I expect barking from the next room and in the restaurant. But the biggest disappointment was staff, one in particular. This person at the front desk would greatly benefit from customer service training and possibly an unconscious bias training. He was simply unpleasant to deal with, lacked any politeness, and displayed attitude and a projection of authority – all uncalled for. For the four days I was consciously trying to avoid any contact with him. We did not feel welcome in this hotel at all, mostly due to his behavior. The rest of the staff were OK, especially in the restaurant. Read less

The hotel is a great location to see Savannah and all it has to offer. During breaks and in evening found restaurants and shops easy to access. Staff in general and for the meeting we attended were outstanding. Thanks Jason W. for all your hospitality from beginning to end.

A very solid stay, with a poor check in experience, that was recovered by a very professional handling of the issue. We liked the hotel. The room was very nice, the bed & bedding was of an excellent quality, we slept well, the bathroom/shower was very clean ... in all, very good accommodations, in what we thought was a great location to easily get out and explore the area. We did choose to park in the close by (5 min walk) public garage as it was almost 1/2 the price of the hotel valet. Check in was the only let down, as the person on the desk seemed dis-interested, just wanting to get us on our way to our room, and they 'skipped' some steps that they should have taken when checking in someone with loyalty status. BUT, when I brought the check-in issues to the attention of the manager on duty the following morning, they handled my comments/complaints extremely professionally. Sometimes, it's more about how problems are addressed rather than the problems themselves. And in this case, Kimpton Brice excelled. Irrespective of the problems we experienced, we will be returning to this hotel on our next visit to Savannah. Read less
