Legend lives on at The Peabody, Memphis’s grandest address. Deep in the downtown district, it’s just blocks from the relics of rock ‘n’ roll and blues that made Memphis famous, including Beale Street, Gibson Guitar Factory, Sun Studio, and Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Its most famous residents arrived in 1933, when the General Manager put his hunting decoy ducks in the fountain after a tipple or two of Tennessee whiskey. In 1940, a circus trainer taught them to ‘march’ and they still perform twice a day for guests (needless to say, duck isn’t on the menu here). That’s not the only custom that lives on, there’s the Peabody Afternoon Tea, the extravagant Sunday Brunch, and the simple tradition of indulgence, with the 5 restaurants and bars, Grecian-style pool and whirlpool, summertime rooftop parties, and Feathers Spa.

beautiful hotel, understaffed this weekend for sure, parking attendants were over the top helpful with volume they had to deal with, was not able to get waited on at corner bar after 20 min and left for another venue, exhaust fan didn't work in bathroom
If you’re looking for an expensive nasty room with terrible parking - I have the place for you…

Parking - awful

We went out of our way to stop by, not worth it. Watch the YT video instead.

Perfect for what we wanted. Turned into an annual Christmas stay for my wife and I. Staff is great and love sitting in the lobby bar with the tree and piano, just exactly what we were looking for.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Peabody. The main attraction are the ducks and they did not disappoint. The duck master is amazing - very personable, super friendly. The hotel is beautiful with very attentive staff, restaurant food was quite good, and it is a walkable distance to Beale Street and the Mississippi River. The room was a decent size, quiet and had all the modern amenities we needed. We would definitely consider staying here the next time we visit.
