The hotel

Located on 40 spectacular oceanfront acres on famed Ka'anapali Beach, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa offers unlimited activities and amenities in a tropical setting. There's a water playground with a 150 ft lava tube water slide, rope bridge and interactive kids' pool. There are golf courses, tennis courts and an athletic club. There are wildlife tours and a variety of water sports too (local charge). And the hotel has four different restaurants, with a choice of American, Hawaiian and Pacific Rim cuisine.

Resort View Rooms are located in all 3 towers and have a contemporary Hawaiian design and views of the lush gardens, with either 2 queen-size beds or 1 king-size bed and sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Golf/Mountain View Rooms are located in all 3 towers and overlook the West Maui Mountains and Ka'anapali Golf Course.

Partial Ocean View Rooms are located in all 3 towers and have partial views of the Pacific Ocean.

Ocean View Rooms are located in all 3 towers and have a full view of the Pacific Ocean and overlook the landscaped grounds.

Ocean Front Rooms are located in all 3 towers and have unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i.

All rooms have either 1 king-size bed and a sleeper sofa, or 2 queen=size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Great family atmosphere and friendly staff. The kid's pool and slide was a hit. Added bonus were the penguins and birds. The luau was also excellent. I recommend the lei making but make sure to sign up in the morning - it will be full. I also enjoyed the yoga classes in the morning.

The Hyatt Regency Maui delivers a high quality resort experience. The facilities are top notch and very aesthetically appealing. The room was large and well appointed. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. My kids loved the pools and penguins. We had an amazing experience!

Unfortunately, we were not able to get a single night of peace and quiet due to incessant pounding from floor above, shouting in the halls, and non-stop doors slamming. Unfortunately, we were not able to get a single night of peace and quiet due to incessant pounding from floor above, shouting in the halls, and non-stop doors slamming. We notified front desk who assured us they would handle. Not. Also, we had unwarranted breakfast charges from other rooms and obviously other people, that were on our bill. We requested the charges be removed, and they were until we checked out and headed home, when the charges magically reappeared. Read less

Stay away from this resort around Christmas and New Years! The layout of the resort does not accommodate maximum occupancy well and feels extremely overcrowded when full. Stay away from this resort around Christmas and New Years! The layout of the resort does not accommodate maximum occupancy well and feels extremely overcrowded when full. From experience, The Westin or Sheraton are better properties and closer to Whalers Village and the Kaanapali Beach restaurants. The Hyatt is the farthest resort south, and it's a long walk compared to the other resorts. I'm a Hyatt fan and this was most disappointing Hyatt I've stayed at. Save your points and stay at another Hyatt or spend your money at another resort. Read less

Shower did not work after the first day, they charge you for pool towels which are rarely stocked throughout property to begin with, and don’t expect valet or bell service to help you if you are returning from a day trip. Globalist benefits at checkin are ignored.
