Insane parking fees

Very dated hotel with noisy rooms and insane parking and valet fees! $60-$70 a day plus resort fees. Rooms were large, but very dated. Construction nearby made the already noisy rooms even louder. Bring a noise machine to get any sleep. Pools looked nice, but we didn’t use
Property Needs Major Improvements

The property is quite run-down and in desperate need of renovation. The noise level was a significant issue—every time neighbors entered or exited their rooms, the slamming doors were loud and disruptive, making it hard to relax.

We were told we’d been upgraded to an oceanfront room as a globalist, but the view was disappointing. Instead of a direct oceanfront, our room faced the opposite building with only a partial ocean view. It felt a bit misleading, as we were expecting something more in line with the description.
While the location has potential, the overall condition and noise issues really impacted our stay. Some updates and better transparency would go a long way.

The highlight… the location!
Jan 28, 2025Brittany A
The location was great and staff friendly.
However, when in the room it was a let down compared to my stays at other Hyatts. Wallpaper was peeling, furniture had visible wear, the water in the shower was inconsistent, and noise traveled through the thin walls.
We made the best of it and trekked on, but would definitely recommend a different…

We made the best of it and trekked on, but would definitely recommend a different accommodation in the area.

Great value and central location

The hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is the sweetest and kindest, and the food services are good too. Nice activities like Lei making, hula dancing, ukulele classes, and a free weekly polinesian show (like a luau but without food). It’s in the center of everything so you’re across from the beach and with…

Nice activities like Lei making, hula dancing, ukulele classes, and a free weekly polinesian show (like a luau but without food). It’s in the center of everything so you’re across from the beach and with plenty of restaurants and stores around. We were there without needing to get a car for days. The trolley and the public bus both stop across the street. On the flip side it is a very noisy location, almost like times square in NY, but I guess any hotel on the main avenue will be the same. A big plus: they provide guests with Tommy bahama beach chairs and towels for the day so you can go to different beaches and avoid renting chairs.

Hyatt, Not your best property!
Jan 27, 2025Junebugladybug
Average at best. Hotel is dated and feels cold and unwelcoming. This was our 6x and last. Very underwhelming experience for the 6 new family/friends we brought with us. Hotel is overpriced and feels long overdue for a makeover. Highlight is location and breakfast bar.
