Prince Waikiki

Honolulu, Oahu

Virgin rating

The hotel

Enjoy spectacular all-oceanfront accommodation and world-class service at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, one of Waikiki’s most desirable addresses! Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbour and Pacific Ocean are second to none – make sure you’re around at sunset, because they get pretty breathtaking around here! What’s really unique about this stunning hotel is the five-story base that this hotel sits on which is home to restaurants, an open-air lounge, lobby, shops, everything you need for the perfect holiday. If you’re a golf enthusiast, things get even better – the 27-hole course set on Oahu’s sunny Ewa Plain, is the only one of its kind in Hawaii. Enjoy a complimentary shuttle service to and from it courtesy of the hotel and a meal at the Bird of Paradise restaurant, open for lunch and cocktails. If you’d rather be pampered, a trip to the Yamano Day Spa is recommended, specialists in ‘aesthetics’, this relaxation technique will chase any lingering cares away! Dining is varied with plenty of options on offer, kick-starting in Reef Lounge perhaps – Waikiki’s newest contemporary lounge serving great martinis.

We chose Prince Waikiki after it was recommended on social media, and we are so glad we were able to stay. We chose a higher priced room with lounge privileges, so we were on a high floor and the glass window opens up to gather in all those ocean breezes and sounds. Very nice hotel, not the cheapest, but very nice. Rooms were clean and well kept. Would be nice to be able to sit out on a lanai but the windows open all the way which is pretty close. Good location as it's close to Waikiki but not too close as Waikiki is too croweded for us. You can easily walk to Ala Moana or Hilton Hawaiian Village which is… Read more

Having previously stayed in the heart of Waikiki the Prince is located in an oasis overlooking the Marina that means your still within walking distance of everything, without the noise of downtown. We especially loved the Club Lounge with its self serve refreshments and very tasty food offerings( not mention the incredible sunset views). Additionally all staff interactions during our stay were faultless. Would highly recommend a stay. Read less

The rooms are a decent size. In the bathroom, the shower, tub, and toilet are separated. The toilets also have a bidet installed which is great. The windows can open so you can feel more connected to the outside ocean view. Reusable water bottles are also provided and you can refill them at refill stations. There are easily accessible restaurants in the hotel. Gift shops and a convenience store are located in the lobby so you can pick up anything you may have forgotten to pack. The Ala Moana mall is a 12 minute walk away. There are also several rental car options next door or across the street. You can also talk to the concierge for info about the trolleys that run through the city. I tried the Naio Bliss spa massage that they offered and I would not recommend. As other reviewers have said, it is a hotel room that they converted to use for massages. The room has 2 massage tables to allow for couples massages. I left the experience feeling a bit disorientated. For the $330 price it was definitely not worth it. In contrast, I also went to the Aulani Disney resort’s Laniwai spa. And for the same price of $330, the experience and massage was transformative. I left the massage feeling extremely relaxed and refreshed. If you are looking to splurge for a spa experience then I would definitely recommend Laniwai. Read less

We were also able to watch the Friday fireworks from our window. The view was our favorite part of this whole experience! My only concern was we pay a resort fee which includes internet access, but the internet was so slow. I didn't want to do work, but I had to do some work and it was near impossible to be productive with the slow internet. Honestly, I would consider taking a whole week to do work from this hotel room with that gorgeous view, but the internet speed is a huge detractor. But if you didn't have to do work, the infinity pool is awesome and, well, we just couldn't get over the spectacular view! <3 Read less
