The hotel

Named after the beloved wife of Hawaii’s last king, Queen Kapiolani is something of a Waikiki landmark, paying homage to Hawaii’s majestic heritage and unique culture with a modern twist. Overlooking the sandiest stretch of Waikiki Beach, guests can enjoy stunning views of Diamond Head from the balconies of their newly renovated rooms, each and every one of them furnished in breezy Island style. As a change from the beach, laze beside the pool instead, dipping in every now and again to cool off. Although there are restaurants all around you, the hotel’s own Kulana is highly recommended, not just for buffet favourites but for its sweeping panoramic views! Pre-dinner, chill awhile at the Deck Pool, sipping on your favourite cocktail – a Mai Tai perhaps?

Rebecca was so nice and friendly. She really cleaned the room good. Even rhoivh we only wanted towels and wash cloths, she cleaned the room anyway.

The hotel’s location is wonderful-just a minute walk to the beach and great restaurants! I love the homage to the retro era in the hotel’s decor! Gerald took great care of us, too! His supportive and welcoming personality was always a joy.

Great hotel, staff was excellent. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Any and everyone should stay at this location. Superb service and amenities are excellent, great pool, great bar and very close to the beach. Overall 10 out of 10

Great stay! Staff is very helpful and food is amazing. Beach and other food options are very accessible. Daily housekeeping is a MAJOR plus and hotel has stores and attraction bookings on site. Definitely stay if you’re looking for a place with lots of activity!
