The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, Public House, and The Buffet at Luxor. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

We booked a king room and were told when we arrived that they were all out. Why even give you a room choice if they are all out of them when you arrive? The hallways and our room in the pyramid was old and dingy. Our view on the 3rd floor was of a flat roof top, a wall and a mechanical box. I can't help but wonder if we got a crappy room because… Read more

The hallways and our room in the pyramid was old and dingy. Our view on the 3rd floor was of a flat roof top, a wall and a mechanical box. I can't help but wonder if we got a crappy room because we booked a cheap package. The front desk staff were great, the bed was comfy and the pillows were nice. No warmer blankets, just sheets and a light blanket. I get it, Vegas is usually warmer but it was 35F at night! The front drop off is very congested but the parking, if you have a car, is easy. Location is fantastic for access to the Allegiant stadium as well as the airport. Read less

It was difficult to reach the front desk, and when we finally did, instead of listening to our concerns, they forwarded our call to housekeeping. Housekeeping took an incredibly long time to respond. When we called back, the staff member was rude and simply said, ‘point taken.’ The housekeeping manager came to our room but did nothing to resolve the issue. She just told us to call the front desk to file a complaint and provided us with a number, but when we called, there was no answer. We then went to the front desk, where the two ladies who assisted us were extremely rude. We lost half of our day dealing with these issues, which made the experience even more frustrating. Will not be going back. Read less

The hotel staff is nice when you can reach them but the ques for getting any help are long and inconvenient. My dirty linens were piled up in the room and left there for 3 days. The last person's urine was smeared all over the floor (likely dirty mop water). The main lighting of the room was faulty when I walked in the room rendering a strobe effect. The rooms are a catfish, I don't think there has been any major renovations to the rooms for a minimum of 10 years. When you enter the Luxor it looks grand, but once you get past the awe of the main area, the hallways are matted carpet to your rooms, all furniture is scuffed, glass furniture is cracked, and there is just a generalized unkempt feeling to the "resort". They advertise pools and hot tubs.... if its cold outside though you can not use the hot tub unless you want to spend 50-60 dollars to use the "Spa Pass" per day per person to simply sit in a hot tub. Also $12 domestic draft beer is a little pricey considering any ATM charges you $12 to withdraw money to put cash on the tables. Read less

My stay at the Luxor Hotel in a King Suite was rather ordinary and fell below expectations. The Wi-Fi was consistently weak and unstable, even after multiple attempts to troubleshoot by rebooting the router. This made staying connected a challenge throughout my visit. The room itself lacked some basic amenities, such as wine glasses, with only plastic cups provided, which felt out of place for a suite experience. Adding to the disappointment, a used wine glass was left outside my hotel room door for an extended period, raising concerns about the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and not what I anticipated for a King Suite stay. Read less

It's a basic hotel. Nothing too special. Rooms don't have a fridge or coffee pot. So it's not really anything special. Bed was comfortable. View was okay. The restaurants really weren't appealing. I think I'll stay closer to the main part of the strip next time for more options.
