The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 4 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

I went last year to the Rio while it was in transition. It still is but it has progressed a lot. I went last year to the Rio while it was in transition. It still is but it has progressed a lot. The new centre bar is a vast improvement, I really liked the comfy chairs and cocktail menu, and it is a great meeting place to get the evening going. I didn't get to the Voodoo lounge but it looked good so maybe next time. I had one of the Ipanema tower rooms and it was nice, clean and had loads of space. An empty fridge was good for cold water. The shower was good and the toiletries were pleasant. My room had 2 safes which is nice. The lifts need some love next as they are getting a bit tired and the back area is a bit empty but it seems there is movement there. A stage has been set up and chairs for shows. The food court is good, but easily overwhelmed at busy times. The casin was full of life at the weekend and had a good vibe. I had a great stay and would recommend the Rio as a value stay in Vegas, this trip I never had to stand for more than 5 minutes for a taxi, and i believe will only get better with the improvements they are making. The look of the newly remodeled room was good. It was spacious, and nice looking, with a nice sized TV. There were a few issues within the room, phone didn't work to call the front desk, the bathroom shower was clogged upon arrival, and the soaps were not filled. I did get decent response times to the mentioned issues which was nice, however we arrived in town late, so the issues were done late which made for an extremely long day/night. And once the maintenance man plunged the shower, it was left dirty, and my husband had to clean it. Besides for the hiccups, and once fixing the concerns, the rest of the stay was good. Read less

Opted for self-check in which went just fine, until I opened the door to enter my room....smelled like my grandma's closet. when you open the door, you didn't expect how big the suite is. and the bar on the side adding the more elegant aura of the room. It has a big space for the living room where you can occupy a lot of people. The long dining table where you can put a lot of foods for everyone. the King bedroom where very spaceful.
