The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

Never again will we book a vacation package to stay at this hotel again. The absolute worst check in experience and the rooms were not up to par. We went in the rooms cleaning because they were nasty. The bed sheets had stains had to purchase disposable sheets and pillowcases because I was not laying my head in their pillowcases. Towels had stains the view was supply to be something for me look at out of my window but I kept the curtains closed because I didn’t want to look at the back of the building. To charge for requesting to be move to the same floor as my family with the same amount of beds as the original room plus charging us an extra 400 something odd dollars when the package that we booked said we had to pay 300 and something to hotel upon arrival and that was for resort fees. I will never ever stay here I had to lock my credit card because I looked at the account and they were still charging even after I checked in. Oh and the check in process we were charged 30 dollars for wanting to check in early and the rooms were ready. My cousin and his girlfriend called the hotel directly ahead of our trip to find out what the bottom line would be and they were told something completely different over the phone versus when we actually got here to check in. Stay here at your accord and have plenty of funds because they will get over on you. I heard other customers complaining about how they charged the hidden fees my poor sister they hit her for over 1400 when she was under the impression that she only had to pay 500 and something they kept charging her card as well she had to go off on them. This left a bad taste I couldn’t go and talk with anyone because the lines were super long and we had things to do off the strip. Read less

In early November 2024, I booked and received confirmation for a pool view room in District 3 for a one-night stay in December 2024 at the Linq hotel. After reading various reviews, I learned that the pool view rooms in District 3 are generally the quietest, unlike the noisy city view rooms in District 1 that face the Carnival Court event stage area, where loud music is played from 6 PM to 3 AM every night. When I checked in at an automated kiosk machine in the hotel lobby, I was given a District 1 city view room instead of the District 3 pool view room that I had booked. Already tired from my travels, I decided to give this room a try. The reviews I had read weren't wrong—the music from the Carnival Court events was very loud and clear, blasting into the District 1 city view room I had on the 10th floor. By midnight, after not being able to get any sleep due to the loud music, my daughter went down to the front desk to ask if we could change to a quieter room. The front desk person was rude and basically said, "No, you picked that room and it should have been self-evident what you were getting into." We certainly didn't pick that room. She came back to the room very disappointed, and we put on our earplugs, which helped a lot so we could get some sleep. The only thing we found decent about the room was that the two beds were comfortable. The next morning, right before checking out at 11 AM, I decided to ask the front desk—another person was there this time—why we weren't assigned a District 3 room that I had booked. She didn't have an explanation for what happened but offered to give me a $40 room credit that could be used at some of the hotel's restaurants, such as Dunkin Donuts, the Nook. However, she said the room credit expires at check-out time, so it was essentially worthless as it was almost 11 AM when the credit was given. I wish hotel management would invest in upgrading the windows in the District 1 city view rooms to soundproof windows, which would make customers' stays more enjoyable instead of being a terrible noisy experience like the one my daughter and I had. Check in process was quick and efficient, and we found our room to be very quiet and comfortable. Getting downstairs to the casino and shops was easy with multiple escalator options and we found no issues with the room other than the sliding wooden door which was not soundproof and sometimes would slide open again if you didn’t close it hard… Read more

Getting downstairs to the casino and shops was easy with multiple escalator options and we found no issues with the room other than the sliding wooden door which was not soundproof and sometimes would slide open again if you didn’t close it hard enough. But this minor issue was not enough to keep us from staying there again. Read less

Good location but off putting resort fee of $50 per night. Pool was closed and no need for paying for WiFi in room as cell service was good. Even a couple of water bottles would have made me feel better. Just build it into the price for goodness sake. We’re obligated to pay it anyway! Room was clean and cozy but dark. Bath had wall-attached… Read more
