A/C was out in freezing weather ... brrr

A/C unit was out when temps were below freezing in NYC. 66 temperature in the room through the day and night. Breakfast was good, otherwise very hands-off (but professional) service. Good location and modern facilities. The corner room offer good views of the Empire State Building (I was automatically upgraded in both rooms as an Explorist).

This hotel was amazing. It’s just the perfect location, very clean, very friendly staff. We had the best room! The hotel breakfast bar was really good! I will stay there again and again now that I found it. 😉 Signed, the 4 ladies with wearing the Santa hats.🤶🏻

Hotel very clean modern staff super friendly bed comfortable great location for bars food etc! Will stay again in future. The only complaint that I can say is that the elevator in the hotel sucks ! Very slow, I walked down 9 floors because it was quicker than waiting!

This is a decent hotel with a terrific staff, without exception.
The location is central and equidistant to four subway stops on 6th Ave at 23rd or 34th St., and 28th St. at Broadway or Seventh Ave. The only transit that's not a 10 minute walk to reach is the uptown bus on 6th Ave and 27th St.

Upon checking in, I discovered three of the four primary lights that surround the bathroom mirror were burned out! I called the front desk and a very fine engineer responded immediately and replaced them all. How housekeeping could have cleaned the bathroom, without noticing how dark it was, is beyond me. Maybe only guests are entitled to report maintenance issues. Anyway, the problem was quickly resolved, and housekeeping remained excellent throughout my stay.
Breakfast was nicely presented and maintained. As others have noted, the scrambled eggs were probably laid by a machine, not by a chicken. The hard- boiled eggs were genuine, however, and highly recommended. And I was most impressed that, with the exception of coffee cups, the plates and utensils were all reusable. What I was NOT IMPRESSED with, however, were signs on each and every table (see photo) shamelessly soliciting tips via QR code. Come on now! The breakfast is 100% self-service and at the room rates (and resort fee) charged, I would have expected the employees doing their assigned jobs to be paid a living wage.

We’ve loved everything about this hotel! A good friend recommended it as they stay there whenever they travel to New York. Everything was clean. The customer service was great, our luggage was held until the room was resdy(we got there in the am) so we could explore the city. Once our room was ready, wewere welcomed to our first trip in New York with Champagne on ice and a thank you card. Customer service was top-notch, breakfast was good and Had a great selection of food! Gym was clean! It’s a quick walk to a bunch of restaurants, and far enough away from the chaos. Will definitely be back!
